I love the “Red Baron” flight helmet on the June bug. I agree with these brave reporters, June bugs ARE gross, especially if they land on you; they cling to your skin with “too many legs”! Cat-lovers unite against June bugs!!
Oh this reminds me of my dear Harper Lee. She used to go after June bugs. She would try to go through the screen to get ’em. My brave little Lee-ster Bunny.
We don’t get ‘June’ bugs in London, but we do get buzzy things, with buzzy bits. We had one in the bedroom last night, that evaded capture. Definitely the work of evil.
He does indeed 🙁 There’s more about what happened on the “about Puck” page, but the quick answer is the vet who saw him believes a predator–probably a large bird–hurt him. 🙁 When Puck was a kitten he was left by his litter’s owner to languish in the backyard after part of his back leg was somehow torn off. A concerned neighbor kidnapped him (catnapped him?) and got him to Purrfect Pals in Seattle just in time! They were able to save his life by amputating what was left of the (by that time) very infected leg and putting him on a series of antibiotics. Puck came to live with us when he was about 12 weeks old, his little hunch still shaved from the surgery. He is a wonderful little cat (and the best climber of the three!) and we are very grateful to the anonymous neighbor who took matters into their own hands to save a little kitten.

HA! @Elvis’s mad Yoda ears! Poor boys 🙂

I noticed Puck has only 3 legs, poor Kitty, what happened to it?
