When my younger cousin was a baby, she knew what all the animals said. Cats said Meow and dog said Woof … but our aunt’s dog said “Whooo”. Because he howled a lot. She was very clear on that. Of course we all thought it was hilarious so we asked her those questions a lot.
My sister and nephew came to visit for a week and our one cat does not like children (she had bad experiences with them in the past). She was the first cat he had seen up close. So when we were talking on Skype later, we picked the cat up and said “what sound does a kitty cat make?” To which he happily replied “*HISSSS!*”
He wasn’t wrong, since that was the only sound she ever made when she saw him before running away. :3
I’m with you! That last panel has broken my heart. Tommy! We love you! (I know all will end well, but I was hoping we wouldn’t have to wait to at least get Tommy in the house)
I actually got up at the crack of 10 (as a writer that is early for me) because I wanted to see the new installment! I haven’t been this invested in a comic strip since Calvin & Hobbes. 🙂
Yay! Elvis made it home!
2nd and 3rd panel…. *grin*
Reading this while driving to work..
Too Purrfect! (First time writing in.. Keep up the news from
Myself and my “cat lady” friends)
So glad Elvis is home – safe and sound thanks to his guardian angel, Tommy. I have to jump on the bandwagon regarding a happy ending for Tommy. Having Tommy back home would be the best Christmas present for all of us! Please, please, please, pretty please?!?!
Oh goodness I love the tree.. I love the missing poster, I love the happy (so far) ending.. I love the coats, I love the coffee maker.. seriously.. I could go on on just about everything..
*gasp* ASLEEP ON THE JOB!!!!! Not that I blame them or anything… 14 hours, after all. So happy to see Elvis back home, can’t wait to see the looks on the other cats’ faces… But what about Tommy?!?!?!
I am hoping that the Tommy’s owners name is in the coat that Elvis is wearing and that somehow helps the woman and the man reuniteTommy with his humans.
Horray that Tommy brought Elvis safely home Now I want to see some good vibrations with bringing Tommy inside for awhile and finally home to his family!
Very much hits home. My furry little brother came to me from being abandoned in a dumpster, so this kinda hits home. He mountaineers up me when I come in the door and would rather cuddle than eat.
Oh, my heart! I’d never heard that song before, thank you for sharing Cassandra. There may be typos in this comment, the screen is all blurry for some reason…. (Okay, very teary!)
I love this special. A Christmas miracle of Tommy finding home would be great. I lost my favorite fur baby ‘Faith’ this week. She got out and got “clipped” or fell according to my vet. She lived about two weeks so I was especially glad to see a happy ending here. She left me her baby Angel and I love him but I still miss her very much.
I’m so, so sorry, Christie 🙁 Angel must be a great comfort, but it is so hard to lose a fuzzy loved one. Many hugs to you, I hope you will enjoy what is to come in the special!
I love this strip and I’ve got my entire family reading it. We’ve been having fun trying to figure out how our various cats would dress.
Along with all the other commenters, I am looking forward to seeing Tommy restored to his family, but I have faith. This is a Christmas special, therefore there will be a happy ending and all shall be well.
I think my favorite part of this one, illustration-wise, is their little heads and tails being visible over the deep snow. Super cute! And leave it to Lupin to fall asleep in a place like that, haha! Can’t wait to see how this all turns out in the end =)
I always wondered why Tommy was the dreaded Backyard Cat in the old home, and then after they all moved to the new home, there he was again. Could that be when he got lost? Poor Tommy!
ooooh, hooray and awwwww!! jump for joy to see new installment, just another reason to love christmas…coz we know tommy will be home…he will..yes? right? hmmm? pleeeeze.
This was lovely – so good to see Elvis safely home. I love the slides when The Baby sees Elvis through the window and the next one where he is leaping into the The Woman’s arms. Also great to see grumpy Elvis warming up to Tommy – got my fingers crossed for a happy ending for Tommy too.
Oh my buttons, I love Tommy the cat so much. I’m really happy Elvis is home safe and sound. I know that things will end well for Tommy, I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Is it sad my first reaction was, “Yaay, another shot of the traffic cone tree!” Then, “Yaay, Lupin came home!” then, “Awww, Tommy…” Georgia, I trust you to do the right thing with Tommy. Can’t wait for the next report!
I’m rereading the whole comic for the heck of it (I’ve been a fan for a while now) and every time I get to this page I tear up. STOP MAKING ME FEEL EMOTIONS.
Only three parts are left until Christmas eve!
YOU BRING TOMMY IN THE HOUSE RIGHT NOW!
OMG, I KNOW! I keep hoping one of the people see him and recognize him from the missing posters. Tommy home for Christmas!
Also, I love that the baby is the one to find Elvis at the door. “Mow” <3!
That’s a sound he really makes at the cats, ha! And his reply when asked, “What sound does a kitty make?”

wonderful. but did she know what the Fox says?

Or even sooner !!!
Yes!

YAAAAY Elvis is back!!
YAY!
Another great episode! Little Elvis standing outside the window. So sweet. Please tell me there is a happy ending for Tommy too!!!
I am with you, I really hope Tommy’s family get him back for Christmas. His store is so sad.
I love the baby’s cowlick!
Yay! Yay!! Now I wonder, how long until Elvis goes back to taking his home for granted and being his old cranky self? 😉
I actually got up at the crack of 10 (as a writer that is early for me) because I wanted to see the new installment! I haven’t been this invested in a comic strip since Calvin & Hobbes. 🙂
GEORGIA! A happy ending for Tommy is required.
Well done Tommy! And The Baby for picking an excellent time to speak! Can’t wait for the next instalments! 🙂
Yayyyyy but there is a point… WHAT ABOUT TOMMY??!!??!!
ok let’s get Tommy home and all hug our pets a little tighter now!
Panels 2 and 3 are totally going to become my new wallpaper!!!
Georgia…how much more of this can you dish out? My heart is breaking for Tommy now.
I am teary!
Yay! Elvis made it home!
2nd and 3rd panel…. *grin*

I think that Tommy will come inside, and become the team’s weatherman, now that Elvis has stopped hissing at him. Definitely an Al Roker character.
Seeing Tommy out in the snow made me cry.
Oh goodness I love the tree.. I love the missing poster, I love the happy (so far) ending.. I love the coats, I love the coffee maker.. seriously.. I could go on on just about everything..
I have a feeling that either Elvis helps him find Tommys family!! I hope so at least!!
*gasp* ASLEEP ON THE JOB!!!!! Not that I blame them or anything… 14 hours, after all. So happy to see Elvis back home, can’t wait to see the looks on the other cats’ faces… But what about Tommy?!?!?!
Thank heaven Elvis is home. Now for the boys to team up and get Tommy to his people.
Must have a happy ending for Tommy. I look forward to my Breaking Cat News and always share it on FB.
Clues thus far point to Tommy’s family owning the greenhouse where he’s been hiding out…Biggest mystery is how they keep missing seeing one another!
I am hoping that the Tommy’s owners name is in the coat that Elvis is wearing and that somehow helps the woman and the man reuniteTommy with his humans.
I think Elvis looks like Shirley in the opening of Laverne and Shirley when they are at the brewery!
OMG, you’re right! lol
…..methinks Tommy has a very special xmas gift coming
I love how Elvis leaps into your arms!
Horray that Tommy brought Elvis safely home Now I want to see some good vibrations with bringing Tommy inside for awhile and finally home to his family!
Hey, what bout fatty one ????? Hope he’ll can found his home ^^
Very much hits home. My furry little brother came to me from being abandoned in a dumpster, so this kinda hits home. He mountaineers up me when I come in the door and would rather cuddle than eat.
Surprise ending: Tommy is actually female, named Virtute. *bawls*

You’re killing me, leaving Tommy outside!!!

Totally agree Tommy needs to be inside. Do hope though that he will get to visit from time to time, or join the ceiling cats house.
I just love that Elvis must shake off his paws every step of the way home in the snow. Truly, deeply cat-centric.
I’m glad Elvis is home safely, but I want poor Tommy to get home and out of the snow. His family misses him!
I always wondered why Tommy was the dreaded Backyard Cat in the old home, and then after they all moved to the new home, there he was again. Could that be when he got lost? Poor Tommy!
ooooh, hooray and awwwww!! jump for joy to see new installment, just another reason to love christmas…coz we know tommy will be home…he will..yes? right? hmmm? pleeeeze.
Oh Tommy ‘I like to look in and feel part of things’ ………… X

I love this so much!
Tommmmmmyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!! D:
I’m crying so hard with the last panel. Seeing Tommy outside being so happy for Elvis but still without a home… Right in the feels.
I wish the best for Tommy, he deserves the happiest ending too <3
Oh my buttons, I love Tommy the cat so much. I’m really happy Elvis is home safe and sound. I know that things will end well for Tommy, I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I know how you feel. I hit “random” after reading the latest comic and now I have to read the whole dang thing!
What a lovely song…
