Looks to me like Lupin is mesmerized by the toy, so the longer Elvis talks about it, the longer he gets to watch it. Then he gives up and lets Puck talk, realizing that Elvis isn’t paying any attention to Puck anyway.
Besides, what news anchor doesn’t love a good pie chart?!
Keep stealing it, Elvis!
Eventually, she’ll let you have it…and get the baby another toy.
If you keep taking it, it’ll be too full of germs for the little newborn.
Keep winning, Elvis! ;-D
Thank you!! And yes!! He especially did this with one of our son’s rattles, to the point that it finally officially became a cat toy and is now kept in the cat toy box. Ha!! If it rattles, rings, or dings Elvis is ALL ABOUT IT!
We have a kitten called Petroc (petra in English is black, and he’s from Plymouth, near Cornwall, and Petroc is a Cornish name, and he’s very cute although his ass is used a lot and he’s interested in just about everything, and he’s black and eats a lot) and he’s very playful, like Elvis in this strip!
Lupin knows what’s going on, doesn’t he? I love his big fang-y smile.
Puck’s chart is magnificent. ‘Usually’ and ‘That One Time the Woman Stepped on My Tail.’ I love that the second has nothing to do with the purchasing of toys.
You can’t keep a kitty away from the ‘toy’ he wants, that’s for sure!
My interpretation of the pie chart was that the Woman stepped on Puck’s tail, and bought him a toy to make up for it. So that was the only time that only one cat got a new toy.
But does the second really have nothing to do with the subject? Maybe the humans made a special point that one time of getting a new toy just for him to make up for stepping on his tail.
I love Happy Elvis! This story reminds me of a little maraca we had that our little boy cat found, put the stick end in his mouth and battered the noisy end with his feet in a stunningly rapid rhythm. He would go crazy for that thing.
Such a good boy. I bet he is willing to let ‘his baby’ play with his toy.
No human Larve in our household, but Esse discovered the toy basket and when she is bored, she will take a cat toy out and play with it. Kitties are such smart people!
I love the change in tone of this comic, from epic-multi-cast -mega -productions of last months drama, to the homely portrait of ‘Elvis with Rattle’ today
No, I think you were right the first time… “rattle plague” LOL! My ex and I used to specifically buy noisy toys for her brother’s kids, primarily because we knew that her brother and his wife couldn’t stand them!
Oh, I love this! OK, I pretty much love all BCN, but as the mom of both a cat and a small child, this gets extra smiles. The mischievous Lupin fangs in the third panel made my day.
Panel 3 is my favorite, when Lupin apprehends what’s going on. I think that’s called, to be nice and technical and mannerly, a coprophagic grin, isn’t it? 😉
To see Elvis so happy is wonderful! I’d definitely let him keep the rattle (and maybe buy 2 more for the other boys so Lupin couldn’t tease Elvis about his mistake. And Puck holding up his 3 chubby little fingers with his thumb folded over in the pie chart panel is perfect! It’s the little details like this that makes this web comic special.
I keep a large flat dish filled with various seashells from small to big. My girl cat Tuulikki loved to scoop out the smaller thick-shelled ones and bat them all over. I never stopped her as I enjoyed watching her play and when I’d find them, I’d return them to the dish. I think she loved the noise they made on the floor. She’s lost interest in them for now. Like most cat, she cycles through different ‘toys’ that interest her. Her favourite now is fighting and pulling at a thin cord of fabric elastic with a BIG knot at the end I have dangling in a doorway. That and biting and ripping out pieces of her cardboard box that she then spit the pieces on the floor. She goes through boxes regularly. 🙂
I really do consider myself lucky! Every time she comes up with a new nutty behaviour and makes us laugh, I think back to the terrifled thin stray she was when I first put my mind to rescuing her. She’s the only cat I’ve had that enjoys being a clown. She really delights in making us laugh.
Just goes to show that everything belongs to the KITTIES. Is that yours? Of course not…it’s mine. Is that yours…of course not…it’s mine! I own nothing! Love this!
My daughter’s first cat (about 30years ago) was a small Gray and White boy called Tomsie. He loved Mylar balloons, which he would happily tow about the House by their strings, purring loudly. She could never keep a balloon for herself.. a big deal at 8 years old
Hard to tell the number of times families have come to the shelter to look for a cat or kitten and the toddler of the family lays claim to one of the cat toys and that is all he or she wants … they may go home with a new pet, but the toddler gets to take whatever it was home. At some point the newly adopted feline may get a crack at it. But keep the customer happy! We start ’em young here at t he shelter! Love the whole comic Georgia … you are fantastic.
Just like a cat! I know because I have three who will make anything their own such as socks, belts, towels. I could go on but you get the general idea.
It’s obvious to me, but some of you obviously don’t quite understand the relationship between cats and their people, and their people’s things:
The cats own EVERYTHING, and EVERYBODY in THEIR household. They merely allow us to borrow or use this stuff now and then … especially to open cans and similar containers. After all, that’s why they created us with opposable thumbs. If you don’t believe me, consider this: Since the dawn of time (defined as when cats took our species under their paws—cats don’t have wings) 63.7 billion man/woman hours opening doors for cats—and counting. Anyone who doesn’t thoroughly understand this is merely wedded to self-delusion. But don’t just take my word for it—ask a cat. ∑:o)
I had a black cat, Shatu, who loved a dog hand puppet. He would drag it through his legs across the floor while vocalizing about it. Reminded me of lions dragging their kill. It got all chewed up. After he died, I just couldn’t throw it away. Guess I’m nuts.
Awww! Let him have it! He’s a cutie meow! LOL@the chart with the pie-graph where Puck is showing the statistics and how the only time a toy was given to him personally was when the woman stepped on his tail. :p Haha!
Absolutely love that Mommy’s Special Boy thinks he and the woman have a special game they play. Never saw him so happy playing! And Lupin, you suave adventurous devil you, I love your sense of humor!! And 2 great charts from Puck, wow!! Thanks Georgia, glad you went light and funny today, I am totally out of tissues from the Halloween special!
“I keep winning!” This is what I learned at my mother’s knee when our cat did something I didn’t like: Dear, you should know by now, The Cat Always Wins. That is why, at our house, we constantly say TCAW!
Lupin with the popcorn. *cryinglaughing*
Yes, Lupin with the popcorn has made my month.
And it’s only the Second!
Wait, does Elvis look happy?
Ha ha ha loving the wickedness in Lupin’s expression followed by the I’m-just-here-with-my-popcorn-to-watch-the-fireworks. Brilliant
Me too, love the happy fangs.
Elvis’s joy! Lupin’s popcorn!!! Ha!
It’s not baby toys here. My furball Greyson steals my keys!
I laughed so hard at his description of the “game”! That’s just perfect!
I love that Lupin is getting Puck to shut up so that Elvis keeps talking about the baby toy as his.
Naw, I’m pretty sure Lupin is enjoying Elvis digging himself in on this one.
Two words – PIE CHART! 😀
He looks so happy! And Lupin with the popcorn is just amazing!
Keep stealing it, Elvis!
Eventually, she’ll let you have it…and get the baby another toy.
If you keep taking it, it’ll be too full of germs for the little newborn.
Keep winning, Elvis! ;-D
Oh come on, why not thank Georgia, after all, she’s Dunn, a lot of work making this and the whole website!
My email link was broken.
Love the “subtle differences”: “crunchy” vs. “crispy.” And Elvis’ very catly attitude is perfect … excuse, please, I meant “purrfect.”
One word about it:
Purrfect!
Georgia, does Elvis really take the Baby’s rattle? (And the Halloween pictures you posted on Instagram were so adorable — soot sprite!)
Thank you!! And yes!! He especially did this with one of our son’s rattles, to the point that it finally officially became a cat toy and is now kept in the cat toy box. Ha!! If it rattles, rings, or dings Elvis is ALL ABOUT IT!
What a sweet boy!
What about if it goes ‘whirr’ when it stands still?
We have a kitten called Petroc (petra in English is black, and he’s from Plymouth, near Cornwall, and Petroc is a Cornish name, and he’s very cute although his ass is used a lot and he’s interested in just about everything, and he’s black and eats a lot) and he’s very playful, like Elvis in this strip!
Ahhhh! Happy Elvis 🙂 you’ve made me smile
Oh, Lupin, you are having too much fun with this!
Lupin with the popcorn and Elvis so happy. I almost hate to have the “toy” taken away. Puck with the chart is so cute.
I keep winning! Oh Elvis….
Lupin knows what’s going on, doesn’t he? I love his big fang-y smile.
Puck’s chart is magnificent. ‘Usually’ and ‘That One Time the Woman Stepped on My Tail.’ I love that the second has nothing to do with the purchasing of toys.

Bingo!
But does the second really have nothing to do with the subject? Maybe the humans made a special point that one time of getting a new toy just for him to make up for stepping on his tail.
I think Pucky got a special toy that day.
I didn’t get the connection at first, but I think Puck’s saying one time The Woman stepped on his tail and bought him a toy to make up for it.
I agree..Awesome😊😊😊
Lol, the magic of comments waiting for approval to show up!
Hah! Great pie chart! Great popcorn! (Oh no, I’m getting hungry!)
Elvis channels Big Joe Turner! (Shake, Rattle and Roll)
I love Happy Elvis! This story reminds me of a little maraca we had that our little boy cat found, put the stick end in his mouth and battered the noisy end with his feet in a stunningly rapid rhythm. He would go crazy for that thing.
Awwww!!!
BAHAHAHAHA… awesome! I love it!
Lupin’s confusion, then his smile, and then his popcorn!
Elvis’ pure joy.
Puck trying to ‘prove’ it’s not a cat toy (and “that one time”… poor Puck!)
And the woman’s annoyance!
Only thing missing is the Toddler playing with one of their toys.
It’s been so long, I’d forgotten. Babies love the cat toys (munch, munch) cat’s like the baby toys (crunch, crunch).
I have vague memories of kitties batting around baby toys when I was much younger. If it rattles, kitties just love it!
Such a good boy. I bet he is willing to let ‘his baby’ play with his toy.
No human Larve in our household, but Esse discovered the toy basket and when she is bored, she will take a cat toy out and play with it. Kitties are such smart people!

Thanks for the smile today! It was well needed!
I bought a rattle plague for my daughter when she was six month old and my aunt’s kitten feel in love with it.
I had to get her a new one, lol
Rattle plushie
No, I think you were right the first time… “rattle plague” LOL! My ex and I used to specifically buy noisy toys for her brother’s kids, primarily because we knew that her brother and his wife couldn’t stand them!
I love seeing Elvis so gleeful!!
This was Laugh Out Loud FUNNY! ! ! Love it Ms. Georgia!
Elvis is a special boy so OF COURSE he gets a special toy!
Oh, I love this! OK, I pretty much love all BCN, but as the mom of both a cat and a small child, this gets extra smiles. The mischievous Lupin fangs in the third panel made my day.

The erudition! Oh the erudition!
I only know what a coprophage is because it was used as the title of an X-Files episode. How tragic does that make me?
It matters less where you learn, than that you do. :^)
“When the student is ready, the teacher appears.”
b
(thumbs up)
😀 I love this.
I love Lupin’s expression in the third panel. Kind of a feline demonic grin.
I’m crying from laughing so hard!
To see Elvis so happy is wonderful! I’d definitely let him keep the rattle (and maybe buy 2 more for the other boys so Lupin couldn’t tease Elvis about his mistake. Oh, you have a cardboard spitter, too. Lucky us. :/
I really do consider myself lucky! Every time she comes up with a new nutty behaviour and makes us laugh, I think back to the terrifled thin stray she was when I first put my mind to rescuing her. She’s the only cat I’ve had that enjoys being a clown. She really delights in making us laugh.
I thought my Grayson was the only one who did this! I’ve never seen a cat spit out cardboard until I brought him home.
“TEAM LUPIN”
Just goes to show that everything belongs to the KITTIES. Is that yours? Of course not…it’s mine. Is that yours…of course not…it’s mine! I own nothing! Love this!
I love this one! Thanks for the adorable comic!

Between Lupin’s fangs and “I KEEP WINNING!”…so, so perfect.
For my (not-so-)little kitten Max, it’s “feather for getting stuck to my face while I run around wondering why this feather is stuck to my face”.
Seriously. At least three times a week.
Hard to tell the number of times families have come to the shelter to look for a cat or kitten and the toddler of the family lays claim to one of the cat toys and that is all he or she wants … they may go home with a new pet, but the toddler gets to take whatever it was home. Vampire Lupin? When did that happen??
Lupin, do you put butter on your popcorn??
Elvis….. Uh, carry on…
Puck, keep up the good work!

My babyhood toys were frequently snatched from my crib by the family dog.
Other commenters have mentioned the great details. Really love seeing Elvis happy…when he’s being naughty.
Awww! Let him have it! He’s a cutie meow! LOL@the chart with the pie-graph where Puck is showing the statistics and how the only time a toy was given to him personally was when the woman stepped on his tail. :p Haha!
My Buddy gets fangs when he’s in play/excitement mode. Love Lupin’s!
Also, pie chart win and Happy (if Oblivious) Elvis win 🙂
Is the buzzy mouse the special ‘only one’ toy? Is this why he gets his own mini coffee mug?
A cat toy is any object that a cat can play with. Every cat know that!
Absolutely love that Mommy’s Special Boy thinks he and the woman have a special game they play. Never saw him so happy playing! So Kawaii…
Hahaha! This is awesome, and it’s’ a real treat to see Elvis happy for once!
“I keep winning!” This is what I learned at my mother’s knee when our cat did something I didn’t like: Dear, you should know by now, The Cat Always Wins. That is why, at our house, we constantly say TCAW!
OMG! Super happy Elvis! So much love 🙂
