Wow, Elvis got told! I hope those two become more prominent members of the cast. I’d love to see more interactions, especially between Elvis and Tabatha!
Also, I just noticed, Tabatha looks a bit like Tommy. Could they possibly be related? Probably not, but that would be cool.
“I HAVE CAUGHT THE RED DOT!”
I have a calico named Calicoy (take note, this is what happens when you let seven year olds name your cats) who has exactly this attitude. 🙂
I also have a calico with exactly this attitude. They’re gorgeous beasties, but they certainly make life interesting, don’t they?
As for cat naming, it could be worse. My family got a black cat when I was 2, and I believe it was October. I named the poor guy Halloween, which isn’t so bad, but then I promptly shortened it to Weenie…
We had a cat named Weenie, too. Teeny-weenie, and also showed up on our doorstep one halloween night. She slept in my bed every night from when I was 3 (I think she was 5) until she passed away.
Woo! Go Tabitha! Girl-power! It’s sweet that Elvis wants to protect Lupin though. 🙂 And the way Elvis and Sir Figaro held their paws up at each other is so perfectly cat-like!
ROTFLOL I know some Alpha female kitties myself. Once when one of our dogs was a puppy he ran at the Fair Lady Gracien and Gracien jumped on his back and rode him around the house like he was bucking bronco. In 14 years that dog has never even tried to walk past another cat. She was definitely an Alpha. We also had Molly, if she heard one of us humans yell she would run into the room and smack silly any other animal in the room. My gorgeous queen kitties. I knew I was going to love Tabitha. PS Both my queens were brown tabbies.
Another tour de force. Tabitha is the perfect depiction of a tabby girl; immaculately ladylike in presentation but taking no prisoners.
I love your cartoons, please keep them coming 😀
Ha ha ha ha! My Sushi was an alpha female who scared dogs. My Loki is a wuss. Love Tabitha! Sir Figaro Newton’s expression of “so there” while hiding behind her is ace. And I think Elvis has finally been struck silent! 🙂
The real Tabitha is sassy to be sure, but there is a little of two other lady cats I’ve known mixed in here too. One is a cat in Seattle named Zoey, who struck terror into the heart of Elvis when we cat sat her and he tried (foolishly) to put her in her place. The second is a cat I grew up with named “Mouse,” who actually chased dogs out of our yard and may have certainly caught the red dot. While real life Tabitha seems to take no guff and handle herself very confidently, I have to bring these ladies up too, if only to give them kitty shout outs for being strong alpha females in their own right.
My dad had a cat as a kid who was nursed and raised by the family poodle. That was in the 50’s when dogs just ran around, and lot of them would chase the poodle all the way home. Apparently the little runt kitten she raised grew up big and strong and would jump out and defend his mama!
I can only hope that mi gatita, Pond, grows up to be as accomplished as Tabitha, with whom she shares all the eye makeup Nature bestows on brown tabbies. Unfortunately, Pond currently displays only the overly-territorial nature and tendency towards puffiness of the adorable, but monolingual, Mr. Elvis.
I’d love a tote!! Tabitha (giving the alpha-female look) and “I HAVE CAUGHT THE RED DOT” on one side, and a BCN logo on the other. Would buy that in a HEARTBEAT.
I’ve been following for quite a while(have 6 cats). I don’t think I’ve ever posted a comment on anyone’s site, but I have to now. I agree with Reba…”I swear to Cat” will certainly be used around here. I love this strip!
Oh my Cat, the story just keeps getting better and better! My Clark likes to think he is the Most Interesting Cat in the World, but he is a just a poser compared to the Lady Tabitha!
Clark is actually a lot like Elvis. He is the Duke of Puke and the Mama’s Special Boy of our home. And his tail gets as puffy as Elvis’, and for much the same reasons.
My tabby is also an alpha female, so I love this. Also, Lupin and Sir Figaro’s faces in the second to last panel are killing me and bringing me back to life.
I had a cat like her. Her name was Chiya, and she was glorious. She ruled over 4 cats with an iron paw. You did not fuck with her. She was the most glorious queen cat i’ve ever known.
And yes. Once, she caught the red point. Sniffed it, realized it was not actual prey, with a scent of anything, and That Was That. She lived 7 years after that, and never once bothered with that crap again.
I have to give a shout out to Sir Figaro Newton’s posture and look in the penultimate panel. Not only does his dignity live up to his name, clearly he has no problems letting a woman stand up for him. There’s a male comfortable in his own skin.
The creativity used in BCN NEVER disappoints. This is genius, as usual. I won’t bother to repeat the above comments. Suffice to say, you are a master at this Georgia. As always, I eagerly await the new strips like an addict. Please, keep up the fantastic work, we love ya!
ROFLMAO – “I scare dogs, I have caught the red dot” & “I swear to cat, I will swat you silly”……. priceless on all counts.
I have been following BCN for a while now, my wife turned me onto it, telling me that it was great. Now I wait with baited breath for each strip to come out.
We have 2 black kitties, “Bixby” and “Brianna”. Brianna is the youngest and weighs in at 6lbs, whereas Bixby (who is part Maine Coon) weighs in at a whopping 18lbs (none of it fat), both of them are Alpha cats. Brianna however will swat Bixby silly everytime, she hasn’t lost yet and she lives to catch the red dot, even after it has gone she will sit around looking for it for ages before she nonchalantly goes about her day as if nothing happened (but not before she swats Bixby if he is nearby). Even then she is everybit the little lady.
Georgia – I think “I caught the Red Dot”, “I scare dogs” and “I swear to cat” (with “I will swat you silly” on the back) would be excellent T-shirts, I think my wife and I would buy them.
I love all of the cats on BCN, they are absolutely priceless and are the epitome of cat on all counts.
Keep it coming girl……….
Thank you so much, George!! I hope to have some tee shirt designs really, really soon! Folks have spoken! It must be done 🙂 (I love the size difference but attitude similarity in Brianna and Bixby!)
Sir Figaro doesn’t speak English, so he has no idea what they are saying.. So I wonder if his expression is more “yay, she’s picking on someone other than me for once” than “So there”
We’ve cat-sit girls occasionally, and this is pretty much what has happened, ha! Before Puck we had a very, very sweet little girl kitten named Beatrix, who sadly passed away from F.I.P. She was a sweetie and Elvis was all about her. 🙂
We have a rescue cat Named Sparkle, she swatted at the red dot once, when we first bought one then for the longest time completely ignored it, then one day she played for maybe 15 seconds, hasn’t payed any attention to it since.
Is Lupin signing in the third panel (hand in front of face)? I so, what is the meaning of it? From the context, I would guess something like “Oh, for feline dignity, would you just shut up?”
Elvis is cowering, obviously… I like Tabitha. I have a white-black “tuxedo” cat here at home who currently tells a big dog and another cat what to do. She’s named Brat. Brat is most definitely the Queen cat who runs the household…
I am very late to the party…just started following BCN on GoComics.com last month, delighted to find there are “back issues” (thank you, commenters on GoComics.com!). I just had to mention our alpha female, Sally. After we lost our Lucy, I kept telling my husband we needed to get another girl to keep the boys on their toes (2 feline, 1 canine). My girls found Sally at the rescue, she had come from a hoarding situation and was very thin and very wide-eyed. She spent approx. 1 1/2 days refusing to come out and meet the boys (who were very curious), and then, one day, marched up from the basement, through the kitty door (I swear she slammed it after her), marched through the kitchen (she actually stomps her feet sometimes when she walks), into the living room where she promptly scared the dog half to death (she came at him sideways, all puffed up, and swatted him square in the ear). She then marched upstairs, jumped on our bed, and chased both the boys off. She then proceeded to have a nice bath and nap on my pillow. There was a new sheriff in town.
I HAVE CAUGHT THE RED DOT. You go Tabitha!!!!
Wow, Elvis got told! I hope those two become more prominent members of the cast. I’d love to see more interactions, especially between Elvis and Tabatha!
Also, I just noticed, Tabatha looks a bit like Tommy. Could they possibly be related? Probably not, but that would be cool.
…I think he’s in love.
Speechless with delight 🙂
Oh I do love Pucky. He might just steal every panel he is in.

Woo! Go Tabitha! Girl-power! It’s sweet that Elvis wants to protect Lupin though. 🙂 And the way Elvis and Sir Figaro held their paws up at each other is so perfectly cat-like!
Not THE red dot!?!
There is ONLY ONE red dot (have regained my power of speech – thank cat)
Has Elvis ever considered switching to decaf?
I love Lupin’s expression in the second-to-last panel. 🙂
Woohoo! You go, Tabitha, Catcher of the Red Dot!
“I have caught the red dot” *cryinglaughing*
Haha this is great!!
I laughed very loudly at this. I love her!
Time for Puck to join the party! Or should I say fiesta!
ROTFLOL I know some Alpha female kitties myself. “We also had Molly, if she heard one of us humans yell she would run into the room and smack silly any other animal in the room.”
I am *cryinglaughing* again!
I am WOMAN CAT! Hear me roar! Nice.
I wish I could upvote this comment.
Me too.
Wow… Since everyone is speechless…
Go Tabitha!!!! *cheers*
<3 Lupin's faces
Tabitha FTW!!!!
Another tour de force. Tabitha is the perfect depiction of a tabby girl; immaculately ladylike in presentation but taking no prisoners.
I love your cartoons, please keep them coming 😀
“I HAVE CAUGHT THE RED DOT” <3 !
Also, Lupin's expression! For the WIN!
Oh I like her 🙂 Way to be dominant girl cat 🙂
Panel 9: too much joy
Ha ha ha ha! My Sushi was an alpha female who scared dogs. My Loki is a wuss. Love Tabitha! Sir Figaro Newton’s expression of “so there” while hiding behind her is ace. And I think Elvis has finally been struck silent! 🙂
Oh and Sushi was a tabby too
Tabitha poofytail! You go, girl!
I swear to cat is my new catch phrase! I hope we will see Tabitha and Sir Figaro more often. Georgia I adore BCN and eagerly await each new report!
Man, she is the personification of my cat Sigrun! I LOVE Tabitha.
I love the paw lick.
Mas “basta” por favor.
She is the James Bond of Cats
Or maybe she’s ‘M’
Tabitha IS the Most Interesting Cat In the World.
Word!
Hmm… This could segue into a 50 Shades of Calico spoof…
HAH! Go Tabitha! Love her puffy tail and Lupin’s expression during her speech!
She’s the most interesting cat in the world. She could star in her own Mexican beer commercial 😉 lol
…Tabitha wins the world.
LOVE nonchalant the victory paw lick
Please tell me Tabitha is really like this.
The real Tabitha is sassy to be sure, but there is a little of two other lady cats I’ve known mixed in here too. Love it! Mouse sounds like one tough girl!
My dad had a cat as a kid who was nursed and raised by the family poodle. That was in the 50’s when dogs just ran around, and lot of them would chase the poodle all the way home. Apparently the little runt kitten she raised grew up big and strong and would jump out and defend his mama!
I love that! What a fabulous cat!
“I HAVE CAUGHT THE RED DOT” says it all! Yay, Tabitha!
Elvis.
Maybe if I get her started with Add-a-Pearl …
“All we are saying is, ” Give Peace a chance.””
Georgia, you MUST get “I have caught the red dot” onto T-shirts, bags, mugs immediately. Such a PERFECT phrase!
That is an excellent idea!! I will!
I’d buy it, if you made it.
I would buy that.
I would SO buy an “I HAVE CAUGHT THE RED DOT” shirt!
I’d love a tote!! Tabitha (giving the alpha-female look) and “I HAVE CAUGHT THE RED DOT” on one side, and a BCN logo on the other. Would buy that in a HEARTBEAT.
And here I was thinking the male cats outnumbered the females.
And, translation (your mileage may vary):
3rd panel: What? What is your problem?
4th panel: Enough!
Oops: What is HIS problem?
I would go with ‘What? What is your problem?’ since he seems to be talking to Elvis.
And ‘¡Basta!’ could also translate as ‘Stop!’ or ‘Cut it out!’
Oops:
3rd panel: What? What is HIS problem?
Oh, poor proud Elvis…he sure did get TOLD. Hopefully he can recover his dignity. Love Tabitha’s cattitude!
“Basta!” I love it!
I absolutely LOVE this!
I’ve been following for quite a while(have 6 cats). I don’t think I’ve ever posted a comment on anyone’s site, but I have to now. I agree with Reba…”I swear to Cat” will certainly be used around here. I love this strip!

Laughed out loud so hard at the red dot line my bf thought I was crazy.
I second (or third, or whatever) the ‘I have caught the red dot’ merch. I want one. 🙂
Anyone else read Puck’s “GEEZE” in a Napoleon Dynamite voice?
I’ve now taken to calling my cat, who is an extreme trouble maker and very sassy, “My Li’l Tabitha”
My tabby is also an alpha female, so I love this. Also, Lupin and Sir Figaro’s faces in the second to last panel are killing me and bringing me back to life.
I think Tabitha is my new favorite character.
Even my cats have yet to catch the red dot! I am in awe.
I don’t know any other cat who has caught the RED DOT !!! excellent xx
I love Elvis and Newton sitting there with their little paws up threatening to swat each other 😛
Elvis got TOLD! Lol!
I like her.
I have to give a shout out to Sir Figaro Newton’s posture and look in the penultimate panel. Not only does his dignity live up to his name, clearly he has no problems letting a woman stand up for him. There’s a male comfortable in his own skin.
Tabitha = BEST EVER. And agreed that “I have caught the red dot” needs to be on merchandise.
BEST. STRIP. EVER.
EVERRRRRRRRRRRR. Also, I’d like to adopt Tabitha. 😀
I love this story so far and I can’t wait to see what happens!
The creativity used in BCN NEVER disappoints. This is genius, as usual. I won’t bother to repeat the above comments. Suffice to say, you are a master at this Georgia. As always, I eagerly await the new strips like an addict. Please, keep up the fantastic work, we love ya!

Thank you so much, George!! I hope to have some tee shirt designs really, really soon! Folks have spoken! It must be done 🙂 (I love the size difference but attitude similarity in Brianna and Bixby!)
Would love to see the BCN and GCN cats on Bookmarks, greeting cards, note pads too….
I love Sir Figaro’s crossed arms and ‘so there’ pose in the second to last panel
Sir Figaro doesn’t speak English, so he has no idea what they are saying.. So I wonder if his expression is more “yay, she’s picking on someone other than me for once” than “So there”
Have your boys ever met a girl cat before? That must have blown their minds!
We’ve cat-sit girls occasionally, and this is pretty much what has happened, ha! Before Puck we had a very, very sweet little girl kitten named Beatrix, who sadly passed away from F.I.P. She was a sweetie and Elvis was all about her. 🙂

Thank you, Linda!
Is Lupin signing in the third panel (hand in front of face)? I so, what is the meaning of it? From the context, I would guess something like “Oh, for feline dignity, would you just shut up?”
It’s not an official ASL sign, but you guessed what he means from the context perfectly 😀
I figured it was just *facepalm* or in this case *facepaw*
Plot twist for the win!
Tabitha has Tortitude times ten. 🙂
Elvis is cowering, obviously… I like Tabitha. I have a white-black “tuxedo” cat here at home who currently tells a big dog and another cat what to do. She’s named Brat. Brat is most definitely the Queen cat who runs the household…
Rock on Tabitha! “I have caught the red dot!” More power to you, girl!
Girl power!!!!!!!!!!!:-D 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
“I have caught the red dot.” Says it all. Needs a bumper sticker.
I am very late to the party…just started following BCN on GoComics.com last month, delighted to find there are “back issues” (thank you, commenters on GoComics.com!). I’m obviously way to late for this conversation, but i would have suggested. I swear to Bastet…
