This one is so adorable! Lupin has the Elton John facial expression too!
I’m enjoying the four panel format too. I once read that “Peanuts” was marketed to newspapers as being a good strip to have because it was in four panels. The panels could be arranged going across, down or in a square. This new BCN format reminds me of that.
Oh my cat…this is a keeper. Georgia, the puns in this arc are hilarious and to top it off with pineapple and Elton John, sheer genius. I believe you are going to do well in the funny papers. Good luck.
Hamiel is leaving tonight on a plane
I can see the red tail lights, heading for Spain
Oh, and I can see Hamiel waving goodbye
Oh, it looks like Daniel, must be the gravy in my eye
OK. I’ve seen ALL kinds of stuff going on here; puns, pathos, poignancy….but THIS is just the absolute, screaming-est hilarious bit of business. This one’s going on my wall.
OH MY CAT!!! I LOVE the Elton reference….lol. I literally laughed out loud at my desk when I saw this. Oh Georgia, you will be missed for the next few months. Best of luck to you and the Man with your move to Washington:)
Hey Georgia! Just read your update. Welcome back to Washington! I’m currently back in the Midwest (where I grew up), visiting family for about a week and a half. My grandpa constantly tries to guilt me into moving back, but I tell him, “I’ll move back when you can look up and see a big ol’ snowy mountain here!” I’ve been in Wa. for eleven years now, and Mt. Rainier still takes my breath away every time.
Whilst on vacation, I’m enjoying the company of my sister’s cat. A tiny apartment and financial limitations keep me from having one of my own (or rather, one having me), so my sister lends me hers. He’s currently sitting with his nose up to the tiny opening in the sliding glass doors, sniffing the very humid outdoors and watching for birds and chipmunks.
Last night he helped us put together a puzzle, and by “helped” I mean he flopped all over the green felt work surface, covering the pieces and defending them with teeth and claws when we try to move him. I discovered it’s more productive to annoy him into leaving by playing “Gotcher Foot!”, which involves gently grabbing and holding onto a hind foot, and maybe giving it a little tug or two.
Later today, I think there’s some milk-ring chasing on the agenda.
Again, congrats to you and the family on the move! We’ll wait patiently for the broadcasts to resume. And if you haven’t gotten around to reading Socks yet, it’s excellent reading material for the road (hint, hint).
I love Lupin as Sir Elton! And, Georgia, I must note that I’m glad that you and The Man are young, just because you’ve moved so many times in just the short year and a half or so that I’ve been following your strip – as a veteran of something like 33 moves in my lifetime, I know how labour-intensive and stressful it can be, and I’m glad your youthful stamina will keep you going with this move! That said, I’ve lived in Seattle and visited LA, and I know where I’d much rather live – congratulations!
I’ve found that clicking the “previous strip” arrow, waiting (loooonnnnggg wait sometimes…) for it to load, then clicking the “next strip” arrow will get the strip on screen. If it stops on a partial screen (bottom half all black, usually) hitting your browser’s reload/refresh will get it to finish. Sadly, hitting the computer does no good at all…
I have the same issue. I just go to the Gocomics edition. I prefer this for the comments, but hits on Gocomics may help with syndication/finance to support the strip, so I go there every day anyway.
just read your update. oh my cats you will be so much missed.
but your good news is great news for you and your family.
also great news about your pitch to the newspapers that you’ll be working on this fall. so excited for you. please tell the man congratulations on getting the job. its wonderful to have a job you love doing.
many many hugs to you all.
looking forward to all your family and BC news updates later this fall.
Oh My Cat! I started reading all these comments on a move and I was thinking to myself, “What move?!”
I figured I was missing something big, so I went back to re read comments.
Congrats to you and The Man on relocating to Washington again! It makes life so much easier and more fulfilling doing a job you love.
Best wishes on your move, we will be moving soon ourselves, but in the same town, as our current landlord stopped using our rent to pay the mortgage and the home we have been living in for a year is now going into foreclosure!!
Hey, we will practically be neighbors, lol, as we live in Idaho!
I bet Washington is beautiful and I wish you all a safe and as stress free a move as possible.
I wish you a safe move too, Nicki! I’m so sorry your landlord put you in a situation like that! I hope this move turns out to be a great thing, and hopefully gives you a more thoughtful landlord. <3
Georgia… we will miss you greatly here in Ohio, but Mr Bunnyfoot and HRH are very interested in the concept of newspapers they can lie on and read their favorite strip. In the meantime, drop crumbs when you can… your faithful commentators will be here when you return. Congrats to the Man on his new job.
ADORABLE! Love Lupin in this one, especially fourth panel. Meanwhile, pardon my pendatia, but how did Lupin understand what Pucky was saying in the first frame?
As they decided in the previous strip to go back to the evidence, I imagine they had a game plan in play before Puck retrieved and readied a notebook and Lupin was chosen between the two of them to be the one to climb into place and gather the evidence. It was probably already clear to both of them before “ACTION” was called behind the camera how the segment would be filmed (at least the beginning, haha! Lupin definitely improvised the last panel). In this instance, Puck is most likely saying this for the viewer’s benefit on the other end of the camera trained on both of them, rather than for Lupin. I like to imagine that Lupin and the boys pre-prepare certain segments for the broadcast’s sake, as a station would likely have short prep-talks before cameras roll.
Lupin is CRAZY! HAHAHAHAHAHA. It’s only 3:28AM and You just made my day. Thank you
Absolutely Fabulous 🙂
Way to distract Pucklock from his investigation, Lupin.
This one is so adorable! Lupin has the Elton John facial expression too!

**Ahemm** That’s SIR Elton John.
And, Lupin does a remarkably cute impression. 😀
Love it!
Oh my cat…this is a keeper. Georgia, the puns in this arc are hilarious and to top it off with pineapple and Elton John, sheer genius. I believe you are going to do well in the funny papers. Good luck.
I just noticed, Puck’s got Tillie’s notebook! Lupin’s hilarious!
Hilarious! Picture of Lupin as Mr Elton John! Literally laughed out loud at this one. Georgia, keep’em coming.
OMC…one of your absolute best ones !!
Hamiel is leaving tonight on a plane
I can see the red tail lights, heading for Spain
Oh, and I can see Hamiel waving goodbye
Oh, it looks like Daniel, must be the gravy in my eye
(Lyrics by Bernie Fryingpan)
Messed up line 4. Rats.
Lupin as Sir Elton John is just too funny. Looks like the ham is in the people’s tummy.
Puck looks so serious and he will get to the bottom of this.
*has a heart attack laughing*
That last panel wins!!
I challenge someone to show Sir Elton John this cartoon 🙂
Beautiful work Georgia!
OK. I’ve seen ALL kinds of stuff going on here; puns, pathos, poignancy….but THIS is just the absolute, screaming-est hilarious bit of business. This one’s going on my wall.
THANK you, dear Georgia
(laughs) ^.^
😂😂😂😂 it gets better and better!!
…. *chortle* … Elton John. Oh Lupin, you silly Watson.
So the boys don’t know the names of their own People, but they know Holmes, Watson, and Elton John? 😉
I always thought it was honorific, like how every kid calls his mother Mom. The Man, The Woman etc are the most important people in their lives.
That makes sense. 🙂
Aww…who knew Lupin was such a comedian!! (And the pineapple ring “glasses” do make him look like Sir Elton John!).
OH MY CAT!!! I LOVE the Elton reference….lol. I literally laughed out loud at my desk when I saw this. Oh Georgia, you will be missed for the next few months. Best of luck to you and the Man with your move to Washington:)
And it does look like him!
The suspense is building!
Oh my. Lupin, you’re totally irrepressible. And I still think you know more than you should about the missing ham.
Georgia, we here in the PNW are privileged to have you and the family coming back here.
…SIR Elton John…
Lupin’s a nut — I’m in love!!!

OMC – I’d love to see the look on Elvis’ face after the fourth frame.
Someone seems a little drunk.. on ham perhaps?
Funny! Lupin is such a clown! I’ll laugh about this all day. I think my guess from yesterday is wrong. And the mystery deepens.
So whoever took the ham was only after meat, it would seem. God I love this comic, it’s hilarious and adorable.
It is so nice to wake up every morning to Breaking Cat News. I love the Elton John reference so cute.
But where’s his piano?
BWWWAAAAHAHAHAHA!! Georgia, you are so clever and inventive!!
I love Lupin as Sir Elton! Thank you, Alison!!
My favorite of his songs is Curtains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_bJhnJlCDg
This one loaded without the daily strip of 4 panels, also , much more slowly
I’ve found that clicking the “previous strip” arrow, waiting (loooonnnnggg wait sometimes…) for it to load, then clicking the “next strip” arrow will get the strip on screen. HUH-huh-huh-huh-Hammy and the Cats!
and on a more somber note:
and it seemed to me
you lived your life
like a ham upon a plate
Hopefully we’ll soon see that…
The Ham is Back!

Thank you so much, Alexa!! 😀
So is Lupin’s favorite song, “Get Back, Honky Cat”?
Lupin’s quite a ham himself! Love the new strips. I see Pucky has more wonderful costumes in his wardrobe. Purrlock Holmes on the case!
I think the best part is not making the pineapple perfectly round. It kind of gives that whole “MR ELTON JOHN!” a little more craziness. Good job!
Oh My Cat! I started reading all these comments on a move and I was thinking to myself, “What move?!”
I figured I was missing something big, so I went back to re read comments.

DC or the state?
The state! 🙂

“Mr. Elton John!” Possibly the funniest line and visual in a comic I’ve ever seen.
