Yay! Upstairs kitties! This is adorable! I’ve always thought that butterflies look like flowers, too! Interesting look Elvis has there…no extra grooming since the ‘hairball’ incident, eh? LOL Do love how these all interconnect…it makes it so neat! Thanks again, Georgia! You rock!
Yes. I couldn’t resist. 🙂 I like to think it’s one of the tiny toy ones from craft stores that have a person’s name on them. Cats like to steal those and hide them under stoves and couches, so in my mind, I feel like that’s how Buzzy Mouse has ended up with his own?
Perfect! The only female being the voice of reason of course, and the deterioration of Elvis’ head fur following the hairball incident. Brilliant as ever Georgia x
Our guys think they are very tasty, too. Fortunately, they haven’t caught a monarch yet. We keep (too many) milkweed plants for them. However, due to their diet of milkweed nectar, monarch butterflies are poisonous. One instance where the cats’ easily reversible stomachs are a good thing.
Every once in a great while a moth will get inside and the Fuzzballs will go nuts chasing it. The late Malachi used to like chasing butterflies, but after the creepy guy next door murdered Ysaeran, I don’t let anyone outside anymore.
LOVE IT! I really shouldn’t read this at work, it’s so hard not to laugh out loud. OMG Tommy undercover is brilliant! and the exchange between Lupin & Elvis is priceless!! So glad to see Sir Figaro Newton & Tabitha again, she is so smart, I bet she really did catch the red dot!
Great strip, presses every button – CN news kitties, Sir Fig and Lady T, Tommeeee, buzzy mouse and camera one – how clever to have incorporated them all in a very funny tale 🙂
Love Tommy! Does Puck’s fur mousie on a string have its own coffee mug? Tank you Georgia, for brightening our day! Any chance of a future BCN book (s) with our favorite furry boys?
Of course, if they actually caught one, it would probably end up like this… http://i.imgur.com/ysuwe1m.gif
(Cat with butterfly that landed on top of his paw)
I just made a spectacle of myself at the office because I could not physically contain so much awesome at once. BCN has once again made my day. Thank you, Georgia.
Tabitha Cat is one cool, cool kitty – would love to know her comic back story.
So clever, and deft (of red dot fame), she must have had a fascinating life before joining GN.
There’s so much, you just can’t read it once to catch everything..Tommys face, so in wonder is my favorite part..but Elvis’s fur, poor baby, I feel for him..Thank you for sharing your imagination, creativity and your boys. I so look forward to every strip and it makes me smile every time..😊
I would not be surprised if EXACTLY THIS is what cats were thinking when they saw butterflies fluttering around adorably.
It would also explain a cat’s confusion in trying to attack one. “wait…am I…attacking a flower? why?”
“A BCN book is in the works right now, and is expected to be available in spring or autumn of next year!”
Fabulous! May we pre-order? I want 3 (at least). Am so looking forward to it. This strip is just one fun thing after another and so funny. Many thanks.
Really like the tiny cup for the mouse but have to say the continuation of Lupin no longer grooming Elvis is my favorite. Had to be careful not to laugh out loud in the office.
Lovely all around. Good to see GN on the story! Tommy’s disguise is wonderful as is the grooming story arc. It’s been a rough and shocking day or so for my state and the news business; this strip was just what I needed. Thanks.
Yes, that was going to be my question. Georgia said she might show us the camera operators some day, but collusion with the neighboring station would make sense. And of course, lots of cameras in studios are remotely operated or automatic.
I spent part of tonight working on just that… Without making any promises, that may be coming into the comic a little bit in the next few months. A very little bit, as I think too much explanation might spoil the fun… Just enough to add to the stories!
Should be interesting to see what you come up with! I always assumed everything is simply in the cats imagination – the clothes included. Which is why the people are oblivious. Though I suppose they would imagine the camera drones etc too 🙂
Georgia, Monday and Thursday’s have become the highlight of my week because of you and the boys. No matter how down I may feel, I know I will get a smile from you. Thank you for your skill and humor. And please, more prints. I’m collecting them for smiles around the house.
The strip today really hit home. The cast is amazing as usual. Really good to see everyone. I am disabled and the comic has become the highlight of my week. It is good to smile and laugh! Keep up the good and amazing job.
So many points — so little space.
1) GN’s Tabitha es tan linda e inteligente.
2) Tommy and Elvis are obviously deeply in love with flying flowers.
3) Lupin doing his nails — how can I get my two to do that?
4) Buzzy Mouse with his demi-demi-demitasse. ‘nuf said.
Just came inside from 3 hours supervising my guy chase the flying flowers, blinking bugs, and things I could not see, and catching many of them, to see this. Awesome. Now he is zonked on my lap and I am not going anywhere for a while…
I just noticed that Tommy’s pose in the overhead Camera One shot is so much like my picture of Dafftodill sitting on the painting (I posted it for blac cat appreciation day)! It’s a wonderful perspective! And I love the delicacy and colors in Tabitha’s face.
Oh… I think this may be my favorite of all! Tommy, butterflies and flowers, buzzy mouse, GND… The two panels with Tommy watching the butterflies made my heart melt. Specially bookmarked so I can come back every day!!
Each panel is so perfect! Thanks, Georgia, forgiving us so many smiles and letting us into the lives of your cats. I hope Tommy’s Woman knows where he is!
Hi! I’ve has a very bizzy week at work, this was a nice way to end the night. Buzzy the mouse, now I’m a tea drinker so, I can just imagine a hot cup of tea, wish they all were at my house, now that’s an idea!! Share pics of our homes and you make prints we can buy from you, meow!! What a Catastic idea that is!! Meow!!
I love Tommy’s little flower scarf! And Lupin’s jab at Elvis about his grooming had me in stitches!!!!! Every strip is pure delight. And, put me on the list to pre-order the book! I can’t wait!
Forgive me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Elvis talking his wish to eat the delicious flying flowers rather than thinking they were simply delicious to look at? : )
As one who is allowed to share his house with 2 cats, I have to tell you that your twice weekly adventures are not only eerily close to reality around here, but you’ve managed to become the #1 comic in this house.
As much as I love Elvis’ big blues in contemplation of satisfying his happy little prey drive, the last panel takes the prize: Tabitha IS The Most Interesting Cat in the World.
(Really, tho’, just as all of your work, each panel is a wee masterpiece unto itself)
“This is Tovar reporting for Cat News, Connecticut, and Lola is chasing a figment of her imagination.” Tovar reported from on top of the printer. “We go to Riley-”
“I am not chasing a figment of my imagination, Lardbucket, (‘I am not a Lardbucket’) I’m chasing a strange cat that got into the house, and he has no respect for boundaries, literally. Once he jumped straight through the floor on me, and he runs up the walls quite actually all the time. The Woman calls him a ghost, and I’m pretty sure that’s the case.” Lola reported as she ran through the house, her usual red dress replaced with a reddish orange track suit, and a headset on her ears to facilitate her chase. “Handing it over to the dandelion.”
“I am not a dandelion, I’m just fluffy, and I’ve heard The Woman talking about him too, although The Teen calls him Phantom. Reports state that The Man-”
At this both Lola and Tovar interrupted with a cry of “Designated Man.”
“Fine, the Designated Man attests to this cat following him from his old home. Does this mean that we should get along with this imaginary cat? Or should we treat him as an intruder? More to come, in the meantime, here’s Tovar with the weather.”
“Here again, and it’s day three of the Sparrow Storm, with interspersed morning dove.”
Without saying too much or giving anything away… I think you may enjoy the Halloween special that is set to run in October (9 strips, one each Monday and Thursday in the month just like last year’s Christmas special). There is… A similar sort of activity 😉 Great report, Archeo!
I think this might be the most ambitious strip to date–what with the appearance of all six cats, the carryover of a plot point from the previous strip, and the really interesting angle/viewpoint in the “Camera One” angle. Very nice!
Also, my fave bit was Tabitha. The expression on her face is perfect.
From Her Royal Highness the Imperial Princess Rain to His Excellancy Elvis, greetings…. We have been informed of an indoor activity called by the resident Woman “Flying”. These appear to be small and insect like, but airborne. Pippin Bunnyfoot says they are difficult to catch. Have you tried this?
Oh my goodness! This is just too adorable! Love the pictures of Lupin sprucing himself up! xx
You rock!
Well, that’s what you get for accusing someone else of the hairball. heh.
Is that a little, teeny, tiny coffee cup for Pucky’s best bud, Buzzie the Mouse? Please say yes, please say yes.
Yes!! 😀
That’s soooo cute. And I love that he, Buzzy, is so excited by the butterflies that he can’t help but, well, buzz. 🙂
Such a sweet report, plus Tommy! and an adorable reporter accoutrement (because coffee cups are a part of all journalistic activity)!!! Just love it!
… does the buzzy mouse have his own tiny coffee mug?
Yes. I couldn’t resist. 🙂 I like to think it’s one of the tiny toy ones from craft stores that have a person’s name on them. Cats like to steal those and hide them under stoves and couches, so in my mind, I feel like that’s how Buzzy Mouse has ended up with his own?
<3
Perfect! The only female being the voice of reason of course, and the deterioration of Elvis’ head fur following the hairball incident. Brilliant as ever Georgia x
TOMMY!!! 💜💛
Love the look on all their faces… Tommy’s wistful look is just precious. Sigh. Have my fix now.
I notice that post-hairball-incident a certain reporter is looking rather scruffy. I wonder how long the apologies will take.
<3 Tabitha. Such dry delivery!
Oh and thank you for Tommy’s camouflage too
Our guys think they are very tasty, too. Fortunately, they haven’t caught a monarch yet. We keep (too many) milkweed plants for them. However, due to their diet of milkweed nectar, monarch butterflies are poisonous. One instance where the cats’ easily reversible stomachs are a good thing.
Tabitha is one smart cat!
It’s so wonderful to see everyone today! And I love that Buzzy has his own little coffee mug!
Tabitha is back! And those are not flowers.
I just caught that the buzzy mouse was buzzing, so cute.
I just caught that the buzzy mouse was buzzing, so cute. & Lupin’s face in the mirror is beautiful!!
Aw, Tommy’s so overcome that his bonnet fell off. I always knew he was a nature lover.
I thought he removed it in awe
Great strip, presses every button – CN news kitties, Sir Fig and Lady T, Tommeeee, buzzy mouse and camera one – how clever to have incorporated them all in a very funny tale 🙂
Thank you, Barbara! I am 99% certain this is the first strip to feature all six cats!
Love how the upstairs cats have their own “Gato Noticias” mug!
Since Buzzy Mouse has his own coffee mug, does that mean he will be reporting for CN from under the refrigerator, etc?
OMG, I love this idea. Perhaps in a Pucky dream sequence. 🙂
Love Tommy! Does Puck’s fur mousie on a string have its own coffee mug? Tank you Georgia, for brightening our day! Any chance of a future BCN book (s) with our favorite furry boys?
Yes, indeed!! A BCN book is in the works right now, and is expected to be available in spring or autumn of next year!
Horray!!! 😀
Of course, if they actually caught one, it would probably end up like this…

(Cat with butterfly that landed on top of his paw)
Hahahaha!!!
That was the funniest thing evah! LOL
Omg!! LOL!!! The expression on his face is priceless! He looks so confused!
Awww .. love this! So sweet!
Aw, poor Elvis – how can he be *dignified* if he’s not properly groomed? I hope Lupin and Puck relent….
I just made a spectacle of myself at the office because I could not physically contain so much awesome at once. BCN has once again made my day. Thank you, Georgia.
Yay!!! Thank you! 😀
This strip makes me so happy. It makes me forget all my troubles. I get a tight feeling in my chest like love when I read each strip.
“They all look so delicious” – Elvis has been transformed with ecstasy! Do we have a softer, gentler Elvis?
I’d better duck when I say that, just in case His Excellency comes out of his trance while I’m still in range …
Tabitha Cat is one cool, cool kitty – would love to know her comic back story.
So clever, and deft (of red dot fame), she must have had a fascinating life before joining GN.

OMG, this had EVERYthing! Continuity with the last strip, Los Gatos, Tommy! Love it, love it, love it!
How sweet! Matter at paw! Wonderful, thanks xxx
I would not be surprised if EXACTLY THIS is what cats were thinking when they saw butterflies fluttering around adorably.
It would also explain a cat’s confusion in trying to attack one. “wait…am I…attacking a flower? why?”
I love how Lupin uses his hairbrush as a mike!
“A BCN book is in the works right now, and is expected to be available in spring or autumn of next year!”
Fabulous! May we pre-order? I want 3 (at least). Am so looking forward to it. This strip is just one fun thing after another and so funny. Many thanks.
Hopefully I will have details on that soon! It’s still being figured out. 🙂
Really like the tiny cup for the mouse but have to say the continuation of Lupin no longer grooming Elvis is my favorite. Had to be careful not to laugh out loud in the office.
I always read the comments because there are always so many adorable little touches (like the coffee mug) that I would otherwise miss.
Lovely all around. Good to see GN on the story! Tommy’s disguise is wonderful as is the grooming story arc. It’s been a rough and shocking day or so for my state and the news business; this strip was just what I needed. Thanks.
Tabitha aloof, Buzzy Mouse excited, Tommy un-undercovered. Too perfect! Thank you!
Who is operating Camera 1? Gato Noticias?
The camera one view was my favorite. Has CN acquired a drone?
Hahahaha!!!

Adorable! Great to see Tommy, Figaro and Tabitha all filing reports as well as the boys. Tabitha is the voice of reason (o voz de la razon) as always!
Wow! Tommy and the Upstairs Cats both return at once. Would love to see more of both but particularly the intriguing Spanish Cats.
The strip today really hit home. The cast is amazing as usual. Really good to see everyone. I am disabled and the comic has become the highlight of my week. It is good to smile and laugh! Keep up the good and amazing job.
Hello Kat, I’m happy to “meet” you, virtually as it were! Thank you for enjoying the strip, I’m so glad you like it!
I agree. I am disabled also, and for a few minutes it all goes away!
So many points — so little space.

3) Lupin doing his nails — how can I get my two to do that?

Everyone has noticed the little mouse mug. But what about Tabitha? It looks like she uses fine china.
Great catch Doug, totally missed that, thanks for pointing it out!
Just came inside from 3 hours supervising my guy chase the flying flowers, blinking bugs, and things I could not see, and catching many of them, to see this. Awesome. Now he is zonked on my lap and I am not going anywhere for a while…
Those flowers are right in my wheelhouse.
Question for reporters. Are these flying flowers edible?
I just noticed that Tommy’s pose in the overhead Camera One shot is so much like my picture of Dafftodill sitting on the painting (I posted it for blac cat appreciation day)! It’s a wonderful perspective! And I love the delicacy and colors in Tabitha’s face.
Oooh, perhaps it set in subconsciously!!
Thanks for another great story!
Oh… I think this may be my favorite of all! Tommy, butterflies and flowers, buzzy mouse, GND… The two panels with Tommy watching the butterflies made my heart melt. Specially bookmarked so I can come back every day!!
Does Buzzy Mouse have his own coffee?Yay for an appearance by the ceiling gatos!
He does–I couldn’t resist! (And for practical in-story purposes, I imagine Pucky couldn’t resist).
Georgia, you are ON FIRE. Each installment of BCN is better than the last. Thank you!
Thank you, Sasha!
GN’s Tabitha es muy bonita.
Each panel is so perfect! Thanks, Georgia, forgiving us so many smiles and letting us into the lives of your cats. I hope Tommy’s Woman knows where he is!
Never fear! In real life, Tommy is also an indoor cat! He is safely at home right now!

I hope to put a list together very soon!
Tabitha aquÃ, donde no es una flor. <3
Hilarious!
Touching!
Shows the mind & soul of the cats!
This is one one of the most BEAUTIFUL adventures ever!
“Flying Flowers” is going into my vocabulary. Thanks.
Forgive me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Elvis talking his wish to eat the delicious flying flowers rather than thinking they were simply delicious to look at? : )

So… This is gonna give the Man an opportunity to check quad copters? They can act like humming birds. And they hum because they don’t know the words.
Hahaha!!

Thank you Georgia, and just like last time, I’ll try to deliver a report every Monday and Thursday, if I can. But the way, my emails aren’t coming in.
Oh no! Thank you for letting me know. I will put your email in manually, let me know if Monday’s does not get to you!
I need to borrow your cats. I have a butterfly AND a flower problem in my front yard.
Camera one……we will need this on our day out to Mars, or no-one will believe we have been
