Yes, Elvis’s tail kink must mean he can trace his lineage back to ancient Siam (Thailand) where it’s said the palace (Siamese) cats had a kink on the ends of their tail so it would hold the princess’s rings when they took them off to bathe. Just a story, of course, but at one time that kink in their tail was considered essential.
Mind you, Elvis would certainly never let anyone put something on his tail whether they were royalty or not!
Is that Elvis’s cat toy that the Baby is bapping Lupin with? That might get Elvis’s tail in a lather by itself!
BTW, Georgia, I wanted to let you know that my bro and sis-in-law bought me one of your prints (the Boys around the “water bowl/cooler”) for my b-day yesterday; it’s already at the framers getting properly set up!
Just wanted to let you know that both I and my wife Melissa are following and loving your cat/human saga. I got hooked on the older series that’s on mycomicspage, and have also been following the more recent adventures. We sadly do not have a cat at the moment – our cat of 21 plus years died last Christmas. But there is a cat in our future, most definitely.
I want to thank you so much for your comic. It has helped me in so many ways.
When my last cat died, I was devastated. She was 17 so it was not a surprise but no less traumatic. Princess was a white long hair blue eyed beauty. Like Lupin, she was also deaf but didnโt know it. We developed our own sign language and she was truly unique. Her sister, Snowball had passed the year earlier.
With her passing it left a large hole in my heart that I felt I could not replace with a new cat. When I began reading your comic over a year ago it showed me what I was missing. Slowly my heart began to heal and I become open to have new fur babies in my home again.
This past weekend I went back home to Pittsburgh (I moved to DC for a job -ugh) and stopped at the no kill shelter, Animal Friends. They are great and do fantastic work. There I found 2 new best friends. They were named Captain and Tennille and were brought into the shelter as strays. They are quite shy and we are adjusting to each other.
Thank you again and please keep writing. I enjoy it so much.
Haha! Massages! I don’t blame them! ๐ Look how content Puck and Lupin are! I love it! Poor Elvis doesn’t know WHAT he’s missing there that mardy meow-face. ๐ (Here in Yorkshire, I’ve learned to use the word mardy which means discontented and generally upset about everything) *lol*
Elvis is definitely a right mardy-bum about 90% of the time! A lot of folk in Nottinghamshire where I now live use ‘mardy’ to mean ill, can be confusing!
Happy 150th!! I love that you offer two kinds of massage techniques, beep beep and bap bap. is that the drawing of the baby that you did online last friday? Elvis isn’t jealous that the baby is using his special toy for Lupin’s massage??
Kitties just seem to love kids. My little Manx Kali is fine if she jumps up for love but we can’t pick her up or tickle her. She will shred us! lol But kids can grab her around the neck and carry her around all day. She just dangles and smiles!
And to think when my son was little, I tried VERY hard to keep him away from my cats! I once saw a 18 month old (Mom’s friend’s baby) pick up a cat by putting both hands around her neck. The baby did not realize he was strangling the cat. The cat had been de-clawed, (was when we rescued her) so she had NO defenses. I quickly took the cat from the baby, and let her run and HIDE! Because of that, I had the impression that cats and babies do not go together well. I was about 14 at the time, and I’ve spent the rest of my life keeping any cat I’ve had away from my kids. (Once I married and had a kid.)
It’s great to see your children playing with your cats. Studies consistently show that there is a definite benefit to the immune systems of children when they interact with pets!
Puck and Lupin, so sweet and patient with the kiddies! Our Grady would be like that, you can do anything with him. And Clark, like Elvis, would be a total nopetopus about it. Our Amy would prefer to chase the car.
I’ve witnessed the carnage that can result from touching a Siamese tail. How greatly considerate of Elvis to think more of the safety of everyone in the room than he thinks of his own comfort.
Dear woman: may there be at least 150 THOUSAND more! And may your following continue to expand. Have to love sweet little Puck and the ever game for something new Lupin for getting in the groove with the kids.As always, you are amazing.
Like others, I congratulate you on your 150th! I hope there will be many many more in the future. It would be wonderful if you take us along with your family, both the furry and smooth members, as they grow through the years. Too much humour is smutty, sarcastic and just plain mean. I love your sweet gentle humour!
Seeing Puck lying on the sofa getting massaged, it instantly took me back when my boys were little. During my 3rd pregnancy, I was incredibly sleepy. My oldest was in school and my 2nd still home with me but he was four and rarely took naps. I’d stretch out on the sofa while he’d sit next to me by the small of my back. He was quite the storyteller (grew up to write very good stories) and he’d drive his tiny car up and down my arm and leg while telling me his latest story. It felt so relaxing and I’d drift off to sleep. I’d wake about 30-60 minutes later with him still talking and driving his car. He knew I fell asleep as I had explained to him how the baby growing inside made me sleepy and told him what a wonderful little boy he was for letting mommy sleep. He always stayed with me, never wandering off.
Congratulations!!! I’ve been a fan for quite a while, from the Quote Book, The Swan Eaters and now, (drum roll please) Breaking Cat News. I love your work, the thought you put into it and of course, the art.
I wish nothing but many more comic installments and art work. I believe you’ve only scratched the surface of the artist you will develope into. And I’m so glad, I have a front row seat. โค๏ธ
ConCATulations and FELINEcitations on 150 wonderful episodes ! Makes me wanna go back and enjoy each and every one AGAIN ! … and, thank yinz (Pittsburghese) all for the very special – and hopefully reprised – Web-cast…so fun to see and talk with you and the man !
Hello, everyone!! I wanted to let you know we will be live streaming again tonight at 8:30 pm eastern time! (And we will do a morning one soon so our overseas friends can watch live!) Tonight will be a “draw along,” where I will encourage folks to try and draw a few of the characters with me! The link posted last time will still work, but I will try to repost it here before we start! I hope you can tune in! ๐
Congratulations on the first 150! Looking forward to many more. We had a sweetheart of a cat who let small children pound on her or carry her around with never a protest or retaliation. She knew they didn’t know any better. (If they were old enough to know better and still behaved badly, she would hide.) Love to the cats.
Congratulations on reaching the 150 milestone! I love this strip and will be happy to read 150 billion more!! I laughed so at Elvis in this one, “I attack everyone in the room”. Thank you, Georgia, for sharing your talent and sense of humor with us.I look forward to each one and I’m never disappointed. N
They are! On the same link there should be a place to view the profile, and on my Twitch account profile page there is an option to watch the archived recordings of past broadcasts. ๐
Today’s strip is the 150th ‘Breaking Cat News’ strip! YAY!!!
WOW! Congratulations and thank you so much for sharing your lives and awesome humor with all of us!
Congrats!!
Congratulations!
YAY! Congrats!! <3 It is an adorable strip too. Such sweet, patient kitties.
Congrats!!
And we all hope there will be many, many more!
Congratulations! It is, as ever, adorable. Your boys are so good with the kids!
Congratulations on the big 150, and I love the cast update!
Way to go, Dunn. ๐
Thank you so very very very much!!! <3
LOVE the 'touch my tail' comment. It's good when a cat knows himself like that ๐
Whoo!! Congratulations!
Congratulations! They’ve been awesome!
Time truly does fly when you’re having fun! Thank you SO much for the fun.
Congrats on the 150!
150? You don’t look a day over 75. Well done. ๐
Coolness! Congrats! ๐
Congrats! I hope they keep coming!
Love it! Elvis and his tail! <3
Awww, Puck is so patient! Our cats loved our kids as well.
Georgia,
This comic brings me unrelenting joy twice a week! Thank you so much for being awesome!
Congratulations on 150 strips. I love how the baby baps with the rattle and nobody complains, the cats love the baby.
Love it! How noble of Elvis to refrain…
May there be many many more!
Love the kink in Elvis’ tail!
Congratulations on your 150th BCN strip. Thank you Georgia for sharing your talented reporters with the world and spreading so much happiness.
Congratulations, Georgia!! You make the world a better place–thanks!
Looks like Lupin loves the deep tissue style massage! Can’t imagine any our our kitties tolerating a car massage, Puck’s truly Mr. Mellow.
Yay!!!! ๐
Congratulations! The Babies are getting so big!
Congratulations on keeping us smiling and introducing us to your humor and artistic talent.
I have all the boys on my walls and more from your store. Please keep it up. I need the laughter that you give.
That is fantastic, congratulations!
Great strip as always. Puck is so accommodating.
Congratulations on your 150th BCN strip! ๐ It’s been a speCATular run and I look forward to more! ๐
So glad the kitties get some much deserved relaxation after Monday’s cat-astrophe.
Congratulations Georgia! you do beautiful work.

Congratulations on your 150th strip! And also on having such tolerant cats. This would have been an entirely different scene in my living room, alas.
Cuuuute!
Dear Georgia,

Lorraine
You’re welcome, Lorraine, thank you so much for reading! I wish you and your new kitty friends many long, happy years together!!
Congratulations! Your strip makes me wish that weeks were made up of only Mondays and Thursdays. I really enjoy reading about Elvis, Puck and Lupin.
That is absolutely adorable!!
Congratulations! And a lovely 150th. Thank you for every single one of your creations xx
Congratulations! BCN is simply the best!
Haha!
I have not heard ‘mardy’ before, I kinda love the sound of it!
It’s a good word to describe sour-pussiness. ๐
Gosh that takes me back to growing up as a child in Derbyshire – when anyone in a sulk would be accused of being a ‘mardy mustard’.
reminds me of a shirt I saw on etsy recently with a toy car track on the back of it.. I joked it was a cheap way to get a back rub ๐
Happy 150th!! I love that you offer two kinds of massage techniques, beep beep and bap bap. is that the drawing of the baby that you did online last friday? Elvis isn’t jealous that the baby is using his special toy for Lupin’s massage??
It is not the exact drawing, but it is a bit of a remodeling of that drawing!
Happy Sesquicentennial!
Congrats on 150 strips Georgia! I can’t wait to see what the future brings ๐
Happy 150th strip from the BBC staff here in Ohio!
That SHOULD be BCN, auto correct!
There really ought to be a BCN Network.
Congratulations! Looking forward to reading lots more from our feline news crew.
Congratulations on 150 entertaining broadcasts of breaking news. I’m looking forward to the next 150!
If baby Gwen gave Elvis a “massage” he might like it. Well, at least he might not attack everyone in the room!
Oh Elvis, you are so Siameseesie.
Kitties just seem to love kids. My little Manx Kali is fine if she jumps up for love but we can’t pick her up or tickle her. She will shred us! lol But kids can grab her around the neck and carry her around all day. She just dangles and smiles!
Puck looks exactly like my Linus when he gets a brushing. He flattens out and purrs ups a storm.
So cute!
Interesting tidbit about Elvis and his sensitive tail, too!
Pawsome!! Congrats!!!
Congratulations! I keep thinking your strip can’t get any better but it does!!! Thanks, you make my days happier x
Sarah and I send congratulations. Sarah is my kitty.
And to think when my son was little, I tried VERY hard to keep him away from my cats! I once saw a 18 month old (Mom’s friend’s baby) pick up a cat by putting both hands around her neck. Congratulations on 150 wonderful strips. That’s 150 times people were made happy. Thank you.
Congratulations on the 150th strip – and thank you from the bottom of my heart for the laughter, tears and emotion you’ve given!
I’ve witnessed the carnage that can result from touching a Siamese tail. How greatly considerate of Elvis to think more of the safety of everyone in the room than he thinks of his own comfort.
I love that observation, thank you!! He’s a tough little guy–but sweet-at-heart, ha!!
I used to do that to my older brother… And we had a massage machine thingy. I also used that! ๐บ
Dear woman: may there be at least 150 THOUSAND more! And may your following continue to expand. Have to love sweet little Puck and the ever game for something new Lupin for getting in the groove with the kids.As always, you are amazing.
Congrats on 150 strips! Hoooray!!!!!!! Love today’s strip too!
*Everyone,* Elvis? Your baby is in the room after all. Would you even attack her?
That toy that the toddler has…isn’t that the same toy from elvis has a new
toy?
Like others, I congratulate you on your 150th! I hope there will be many many more in the future.
