Georgia, your post came through at 3:15 EDT – I hope it was automatic and you can stop worrying. Get some much needed rest – you’ve earned it! Elvis is wonderful but who’s in the kitchen with Pucky and The Woman – Alice? LOL Guess I’ll wait for Saturday to find out. Curious minds need to know.
Georgia, are these smaller panels getting scanned in at a higher definition than before? I’m loving that the colors are so vivid and the details are showing up so well on screen.
The Man and I stayed up late to finish Netflix’s sci-fi series ‘Stranger Things!’ (While Lupin adventured around us, ha!) We only meant to watch a little more, and got swallowed into the rest–like all good television and books. 🙂
Elvis splayed out on the coats. Wonder what the guests will think when they see cat hair on them. They came in with cloth coats and left with fur coats. Haha.
@Linda – I’m sure The People will only invite avid Cat Fans to dinner. We understand that cat hair on clothes is a badge of honour to be worn with pride!
These four panels have an earlier incarnation feel to them, which I really like. I think it’s the kitty non verbals – raised eyebrows, twitching tails, and of course Elvis as guard cat 🙂
…while Elvis explores every pocket, tries to crawl into every sleeve, wriggles under every flap, rolls on every silky lining, and sniffs and identifies every other cat and dog!
SOMEBODY has to guard the coats, go through them carefully for any trace of treats, artistically “distress” the fabric and then hide any car keys under the bed….
Oh yes, and add PLENTY OF CAT HAIR!
Georgia, I agree with Tigger, inquiring minds DO want to know who’s in the kitchen with Woman. (And I was worried there wouldn’t be as much suspense with the dailies!) I’m thinking either The Intruder or Beatrix. I’m hoping this is a People & Pet party so we get to see Beatrix, Tommy & Chloe etc.
When I had cats, I still wore cloth shirts (instead of polo T-shirts). New shirts, at least cotton ones, hold cat fur. White shirts, black fur: I used to be concerned then quit worrying about it.
Mazal tov on your decision to go daily!!!!! Feel like my quality of life just improved a notch. Full disclosure: i’m a TOTAL FAN. <3 All the best!
Awww, Elvis, you could guard my coat anytime.
I totally thought the same thing!

I see Elvis getting puffy before the end of the party. And how will he get any bacon if he’s in guarding the coats?
I love Lupin’s tail twitch and his attempts to save face. Love Lupin.
Um, Gretchen? That’s Elvis.
Elvis Used to swipe at guests, but has gotten past that, and now is just a brave guardian of the coats, cat.
Coats need cat hair. It’s a patina of life.
Cat hair is also an important part of one’s diet.
Keep up the good work, Elvis. 🙂

I’ve noticed this too! I think due to the smaller size of the strip, the site seems to post them closer to their actual resolution? Unexpected bonus!
I’m guessing you were up late, not early. Was Lupin adventuring again? Or was it the Midnight Cat Olympics again?
The Man and I stayed up late to finish Netflix’s sci-fi series ‘Stranger Things!’ (While Lupin adventured around us, ha!) We only meant to watch a little more, and got swallowed into the rest–like all good television and books. 🙂
i was reading some of the older reports and in the bookstore next to Beatrix was a book with young wicket and baba on it, nice foreshadowing.
It’s pretty much only books that do me in that way. Sadly (for my sleep) I have a lot of them yet to read.

Cat hair was the only fiber in my diet for many years. (It’s inescapable)
Love Elvis. So brave to guard the coats. Every outfit needs some cat hair.
Elvis bravely trying to guard all the coats, as Lupin gets in a dig at his sometimes unsocial behavior….

Cat hair accessorizes any outfit!
I’m lovin’ the daily format !!
The kids always get stuck managing the coats and sitting at the kitty table. I mean the kiddie table. 🙂
Ever the trooper, Elvis is putting a positive spin on his captivity!
Not to mention one of the Five Essential Nutrients: In the coffee, tea, cocktails, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans …
Haha! Brave Elvis, guarding the costs all by his lonesome.
He has found his calling as guard kitty. 😊
…while Elvis explores every pocket, tries to crawl into every sleeve, wriggles under every flap, rolls on every silky lining, and sniffs and identifies every other cat and dog!
Love Elvis and the coats needing him. Got this strip again on Thursday. Is that right? Love having our BCN daily!

……. but Elvis, if you spend the whole party guarding coats, you might miss out on the ham !!!!
Sounds like an emergency face-saving tongue bath is in order for Mr. Angry-Fussy-Paws!
Puck and Lupin may get the food treats but the coats are a wealth of new smells to be discovered for Elvis! It should keep him occupied all evening.
Anybody gonna let Tommy in?! He wants to PARTAY! Besides, he’s wearing a non floral shirt tux type tee. 🙂
I’m sure the guests appreciate Elvis’s vigilance. Is Puck making himself adorable to visitors?
Puck is usually a bit shy with visitors in real life, but he does come out to visit after about 20-40 minutes! It may be a bit the same here.
Do you use colored pencils or water colors for your strips?
I use ink and watercolor paints. 🙂

Love how Lupin always ask Elvis the embarrassing questions, what a great hard nosed reporter!
And we know there’s a ham in the kitchen that needs Puck!
I’m guessing Lupin was correct on that one
I love the way Elvis chooses to look at his situation 🙂
