Lupin needs a hat! He loves hats.
The boys are on the case of the missing ham. This should be fun.
What will they do if leftover ham leaves the house. 🙀
I, too, have been having it load very slowly, or sometimes the picture link is broken. This happens on both of my computers, too. Perhaps BCN changed servers?
I am not certain why this is happening, this strip is the same file size as the other daily strips and we’ve made no changes on our end. 🙁 I’m sorry it’s not loading for everyone. These strips are wider than the old format, and I don’t know if maybe that slows them down. If that is the case, they’re on GoComics as well and they have stronger servers… Bigger servers?… More fancy stuff than we do.
I have the same problem (this is the third time I’ve tried to access today’s strip here). I ended up reading it on Go Comics instead. It’s in my feed there, but I enjoy scanning the comments here more. 🙂 Anyway, glad to hear it isn’t just me.
Georgia, have you ever read Kate Beaton’s “Hark! A Vagrant!” strip? She does some great send ups of the different Watsons that have appeared in popular culture over the years. Now she could add Lupin’s. 🙂
This is very different from if a neighbor played by Brian Blessed had promised his help during the first Christmas special, which would have been “Local Ham Vows to Find Missing Cat.”
Georgia,
Just want to let you know I really enjoy the new dailies. The longer format was fun and I would re-read them every day because I found something new in them each time. Plus, whenever I was at work at got “homesick” for my cats reading about Puck, Elvis, Lupin and the rest of the BCN cast made me feel closer to my own cats till I got home. I wish you luck on getting BCN syndicated. I cannot see why this should be a problem. This is a great and heartfelt strip that makes a person really care about the characters. BTW, concerning todays story, wasn’t Lupin the name of the detective in Edgar Allen Poe’s stories, namely ” The Murders in Rue Morgue”?
Thank you, Dr. Joe! And I’m not sure, I will have to check. That would be pretty funny! Our Lupin was named for the gentleman detective-thief from a series of French stories, I think, that the Man loved when he was young. It would be great if there were two Lupin detectives in literature for our little guy!
C. Auguste Dupin was the detective in Edgar Allen Poe’s, “the Murder in the Rue Morgue”. So close to Lupin’s name! (Praying for syndication of BCN because EVERYONE must gain access to these clever & beautifully painted kitty-characters!!)
Georgia, the Man has great taste! I have recently been reading Maurice LeBlanc’s Arsene Lupin stories (and a side thank-you to gutenberg.org). They are excellent! And the Lupin of the books and your Lupin both share an exuberance for living that I envy.
Oh Oh, Puck is also going to solve the mystery black band covering the bottom of beautiful artwork. Hope it isn’t a “Geech” problem. Geech strip on Go Comics has had a black censor band that creeps up every day until it is completely covered, then after a month it happens again. Oh my Cat, & Buzzy too!
I hope that when you present the comics to the papers you show the responses from readers. BCN has more responses than strips already in syndication.
Also, Georgia, I just received my signed copy of your book. That will go in a special place in my house. The other, I will let people who visit read. If they get spots or soils on that book, I won’t care since I will have a nice new, shiny, autographed book all to myself.
Sherpuck Holmes and Dr. Lupin… the game is apaw!
That needs to be a book, and I need to read it.
Cutest detectives ever. 😀
Agreed, and “Cool Party-Watson” rules. 🙂
Ahhh, I get the feeling that Lupin isn’t taking this quite seriously enough for Puck.
“A cool party Watson…” SOO CUTE! Thanks Georgia.
YES! I was hoping the deerstalker would make an appearance. 😀 And cool party-Watson is the best Watson. 🙂
“Cool party-Watson”… XD Lupin, you are so awesome.
Lupin needs a hat! He loves hats.
The boys are on the case of the missing ham. This should be fun.
What will they do if leftover ham leaves the house. 🙀
Cool party Watson, that is so funny 😂
Wow! Costumes! Props! Sidekick! Can this get any better?
Oh! I just love Sherpuck Holmes, and the deerstalker hat looks sweet. I know he’ll solve the mystery- especially with such a great sidekick. LOL!
Sherpuck and Lupson.
Robber mice or dinner guests? Are there any leftovers? Get on the case, Holmes and Watson?
Sherpuck Homes?
Pucky in a deerstalker. perfect. And the Adventure Sidekick. Meanwhile, presumably Elvis is still on guard duty.
Ms. Dunn, the comic isn’t showing up on my computer. The title and the space to enter the discussions comments, yes, but the comic itself, no.
Having a similar problem, using a computer at my local school and comic downloads VERY SLOWLY. I’ll probably do better on my home computer

Annnnnd…now it’s up and working. Figures. Still get to enjoy it twice. 🙂
Backed up a strip and then returned to this one and the art came up.
Beware the Ham of the Baskervilles!
If he succeeds, Puck will be known as “Sherlock Hams”.
Oh my cat, Lupin as a cool party Watson… TOO CUTE! EEEEEE!!!
Loving the deerstalker hat and magnifying glass!
“A cool party-Watson.” Someone alert Martin Freeman.
Poor Lupin! Everyone keeps picking on his tuxedo shirt!
Pucky Holmes is on the case! I can’t wait to see where his investigation leads!
Georgia, have you ever read Kate Beaton’s “Hark! A Vagrant!” strip? She does some great send ups of the different Watsons that have appeared in popular culture over the years. Now she could add Lupin’s. 🙂
I love ‘Hark! A Vagrant!’ 😀
I like the new daily comics, because twice per week was not enough to sate me. Sure, it’s shorter, but I get 1 per day! (Hurray!)
http://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news/2016/08/09 Try this Go Comics link if the full page doesn’t come up. It’s a wonderful continuation of Missing Party Ham.
Pucky Holmes on the job. I hope the woman saved some ham for the boys.
Love these cat stories!
Sherlock Puck!
Or is it Puck-lock Holmes?
Maybe Purr-lock Homes?
the picture’s disappeared too. Someone took both the ham and the pictures. 🙁
no cartoon showing
How in the world did the Robber Nice pull off this caper??
I’m not getting the actual comic strip here either…just the comments. Got it yesterday, but can’t get yesterday’s either, currently.
Okay – now I have it.
This is very different from if a neighbor played by Brian Blessed had promised his help during the first Christmas special, which would have been “Local Ham Vows to Find Missing Cat.”
Best line of the day award: “The game is apaw!”
OMG I need a Pucky Sherlock mug! Two of my favorite characters 😻😻😻

Thank you, Jenny! And thanks for clarifying that! So close!!!
eh bien, I thought he might be named after Arsene Lupin (a French gentleman-thief).

I love seeing the guys every day.

Geech strip on Go Comics has had a black censor band that creeps up every day until it is completely covered, then after a month it happens again. Oh my Cat, & Buzzy too!
Which makes me wonder, where DO they get their clothes?
Hi Georgia! My cats and I are very excited – my book arrived today! Thank you for the wonderful stories!
You’re welcome, Michelle! 😀 Thank you!

Linda, I love that, thank you so much! 🙂
