Elvis’ dismissive eye roll is beyond precious 🙂 I have often imagined that look on my older cat’s face when he is confronted by his younger housemate’s enthusiasm. And by ‘often’ I mean, ‘every other waking minute’.
My in-laws had a cat who loved using their laundry chute. He would drop through it to the pile of laundry below, run back upstairs and do it again and again.
I love serial adventures! Lupin looks like an intrepid explorer as he slides down the chute. Love his balancing act on the lid of the chute, and the “sort of” when asked by Elvis if he is staying away from it!
I have had a sleeping cat on my lap for the past hour or so and couldn’t move, so I just binged on BCN from the beginning. It reinforced my love for this comic. You gotta love cats (and cat people)!
First Elvis gets out, now Lupin! I hope there’s no access to the outdoors or the space between walls or ceilings down there. (As fas as my cat Mystery is concerned, our house is a wondrous maze of secret passages, of which he is sole overlord.)
I just added a fabulous new illustration to the fan art page, sent to me by reader and fellow cartoonist Matt Nelson! He’s done a pretty fantastic rendition of a very adventurous Lupin! http://www.breakingcatnews.com/fan-art/ Matt is the cartoonist behind ‘Catbeard the Pirate,’ which comic and cat loving folks should check out!
I think that’s the first time I’ve ever heard of a laundry chute. I thought it was just a storage door, like a built-in hamper. I had no idea this existed… Thanks for broadening my (and Lupin’s) horizons!
Lupin, nooooo!….it must be bad down there because Puck’s tail got all frizzy.
….and the adventure begins.
Ok good. I love serials!
And yes, Elvis is about as exhausted with Lupin’s sense of adventure in real life as he is in the comic. 😀

Lupin sort of looks like a bunny when he’s happy. I like this.
Elvis knows “Adventure!”
My in-laws had a cat who loved using their laundry chute. He would drop through it to the pile of laundry below, run back upstairs and do it again and again.
“Adventure would be my second guess.” Bwaaaaa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! Once again the boys have brought tears to my eyes. (I can’t breathe.) Oh, you kids!
And Puck’s tail as Lupin Whoops. The details are delightful.
This is the absolute cutest webcomic I have ever had the pleasure of reading.
The. Cutest.
And now the real fun begins! LOL!
I remember that feeling!!!!! Whee…
First cabinets and now laundry chutes. 🙂
Lupin is a cat after adventure.
Ssssssssssooooooooooo funny!!! 🙂
😀
You know what I love about this comic? The short, 1-comic jokes are just as wonderful as the multi-comic adventures. Keep up the great work!
I enjoy the serial stories, too. More so, if you really have a laundry chute, then I am envious! Those are so durn cool!
But, but, we just got Elvis back!!
Have you by any chance seen cat & laundry at:

?
I had not! She is so cute and fearless!
Tommy to the rescue!! (Maybe?)
More likely Lupin may meet the neighbors – the Spanish speaking cats or their people. 🙂
Love it how Lupin seems to wear his hat especially when on an adventure
It does to be smart on these occasions

At least he doesn’t have to worry about this:

That’s a very big ball of yarn!
Lupin looks so happy!
Lupin looks like he’s having so much fun!
Another great adventure! I love it! I’m sure Lupin will find some great treasure at the bottom of this ‘well’!
Indiana Lupin and the Temple of Laundry
I cant wait to see Elvis reaction to this. He is gonna be so angry! 🙂
LUPIN NOOOO!!!!!

So agree – love cat bingeing

Thanks Georgia! 🙂 I only wish I could have got it finished before so many other clever commenters made the same mental connection I did. 😉
That is some great fan art right there! But now I have another cat comic to follow – thanks, both of you!
You’re welcome, Phil!

I love Lupin’s look of absolute delight in the last panel.
Okay, I had to look back on this strip to see if the “blue mound of laundry” was there the whole time and Lupin just didn’t notice. 🙂
