Dear Geogia
Could you possibly squeeze a panel featuring Tommy into a storyline.I can only last so long without an injection of his Humour!
Many Thanks Ray
You should post a link to your blog on the tool bar above the strip. Maybe next to Fan Art would be a likely spot? Just a thought.
Love Lupins happy meltdown into the sink! Too cute.
So, The Man did have to shave and start over after being attacked by the robo snake! He does indeed seem to have a special place for Lupin. Love the little pile of Lupin’s clothes on the vanity. Great job Georga!
Actually laughed out loud at this… what a way to start a Monday morning! (The little white paw coming out of the sink to “hook” The Man was just purrfect!)
Ours like to get in sinks too. I think they like the coolness and smooth surfaces.
Georgia what about a paper bag or box episode? Like ”the man” I often walk around saying ‘where’s Louie’ (our cat) to a suspiciously moving bag or box on the floor. He loves getting in the bag, or box, peeping out, and swatting at you as you walk nearby…thinks he can’t be seen!
Heeheehee! Lupin looks just like my Medb when she was a tiny kitten – her mostly white fur rendered her pretty close to invisible in the sink, and my did she love hanging out in the sink!
Our cat is definitely a sink-lover, but not to become invisible…. whenever he’s in the house (which is only during the cold winter months), he gets up on the counter and meows until someone comes and turns on the water so he can get a drink!
Puck could play this game at our house; we had glossy black sinks and a glossy black 6 ft by 4 ft whirlpool bath tub(!) installed in our master bath when we built our home.
Haha, our black cat is the one that goes invisible sometimes. He likes to hide under tables, in laundry piles, and anywhere there’s a shadow. He also looks an awful lot like a small throw pillow when he’s curled up in a ball, asleep. Love this strip!
When I play hide-and-seek with our guy, that’s the refrain (where’s Nicodemus? I can’t see him) even as I clomp past him “hiding” behind the toy castle. Of course, when we play at night with only nightlights on — it’s a bit more accurate (although he takes pity and seems to stick to places where I can actually still see his silhouette). But he always comes darting out with a paw around the ankle (before he sprints for “home”) by the second or third pass. However, he has yet to pick a sink, probably because he resembles Elvis and he knows it wouldn’t work.
As always, a very funny comic that captures life with felines. We are big fans. My youngest (and I) have enjoyed reading about the real life “boys” and seeing their pictures. Love the blending of life and art.
this reminda of of the time we moved and parked the cats in the upstairs bathrrom. One hid in the sink andd wailed until we liberated her. She ws not invisible but was very vocal.
I had a little white cat who would lie on the bed with paws and tail tucked under among the throw pillows and stuffed animals and pretend she was a pillow when company came. A visitor once said “what a realistic cat pillow!” “Gail, that *is* a real cat!”
Oh!
Is the Man using ASL sign language for “Where’s Lupin?” in panel 6? That is so adorable. ๐ My sister taught her border collie to understand sign language. Actually most of our dogs knew the basic command signs but only Nanook seemed to enjoy it. Digger just covered his eyes with his paws to avoid instruction… still not sure which one was more intelligent.
Lupin is so adorable in this strip! Those cute little pink-and-white ears. This is so cleverly drawn, Georgia. It looks as though the sink is grinning, too. Do you like the site, Cats in Sinks? http://Www.catsinsinks.com
Rocky used to occasionally sleep in our sink. He used to far more often sleep in the next-door-but-one neighbour’s sink. But being a black and brown tabby I doubt he ever imagined himself invisible; just inconvenienced when Geoff shooed him out of his house!
BTW; I just found your comic a few weeks ago from a post on the Crystal Hall forum. I have since read from the beginning and have found your art delightful and you humour and story telling so close to my experience of four very different cats from yours that I can’t help loving it. Thank you for sharing your genius.
Mondays are a little better when there is a new Breaking Cat News. Thank you!
You’re most welcome! ๐
I swear to Cat! … BCN makes Monday morning bearable! ๐
A new BCN and a new Bloom County. A red-letter day!
Lupin is such a cutie. What a wonderful comic.
awww, I love Lupin’s smiles ^_^
Where IS Lupin? I can only see his little pile of clothes.
Meanwhile, Puck is invisible about 75% of the time.
Poor Elvis is so annoyed!! Lol!
Oh, how I love Mondays and Thursdays when I get BCN. Lupin’s little suit folded on the counter–too cute! Thank you.
Lupin’s expression when the Man says he can’t find him!!!! Thanks for making me smile this morning!
My heart always feels just a bit lighter after Breaking Cat News.
Lupin + skinnydipping + sink = invisibility. The best super power!
Furrydipping?

He is coming up soon Ray, I promise!
Hooray! I miss Tommy.

Kitties and sinks…match made in heaven! What a great way to start the week…thank you, Georgia!
Lupin is so happy
Poor Elvis. Too much silliness for him, obviously.
“have you seen loooooopin?” made me giggle so much. <3
What a shame Lupin didn’t appear in this comic.
I know can’t imagine where he got to ………..
Well, in his defense, PARTS of Lupin did appear briefly…. mostly his Cheshire grin! ๐
Good job the man can’t see Lupin, he hasn’t got a stitch on!
Lupin looks just like ‘The Invisible Boy’ in the movie; “Mystery Men”. ๐ ๐ ๐
So, The Man did have to shave and start over after being attacked by the robo snake! He does indeed seem to have a special place for Lupin. Love the little pile of Lupin’s clothes on the vanity. Great job Georga!
Very imaginative & beautifully drawn! Of course I’m sure that Lupin heeded Elvis’ warning, right??
Just when I think the comic can’t get any funnier it does! Thanks, Georgia for making my day.
I love a Man who plays with cats!
Heh! The little pile of clothes!
::: holding ribs and wiping away tears of laughter ::: (literally!)
Invis-o-cat! I love it!
With the pile of clothes by the sink I get the impression that Lupin has jumbles up the letters in “Skinny-dipping” a bit!
Another interesting fact: It is impossible to see a black cat on a white formica countertop—
—provided he does not move.
๐
Actually laughed out loud at this… what a way to start a Monday morning! (The little white paw coming out of the sink to “hook” The Man was just purrfect!)
Please please please could you add a photo of Lupin in the sink to you Real Life Photo gallery?
Yes, I will! We have many:)
Ours like to get in sinks too. I think they like the coolness and smooth surfaces.

Like when two kittens play and one ‘hides’ behind a chair leg that’s about 1/4 as wide as he is! :-0
How about a box episode, and also a paper bag episode?

Now I want a Lupin sink!
Heeheehee! Lupin looks just like my Medb when she was a tiny kitten – her mostly white fur rendered her pretty close to invisible in the sink, and my did she love hanging out in the sink!
Panel 4 is great, with Lupin-Sink tugging on The Man’s shirt! None of my kitties has ever been a sink-lover…
Our cat is definitely a sink-lover, but not to become invisible…. whenever he’s in the house (which is only during the cold winter months), he gets up on the counter and meows until someone comes and turns on the water so he can get a drink!
“I swear to cat”! LOL!! This comic is the best!
Puck could play this game at our house; we had glossy black sinks and a glossy black 6 ft by 4 ft whirlpool bath tub(!) installed in our master bath when we built our home.
OMG. *cryinglaughing* at the whole thing!
Haha, our black cat is the one that goes invisible sometimes. He likes to hide under tables, in laundry piles, and anywhere there’s a shadow. He also looks an awful lot like a small throw pillow when he’s curled up in a ball, asleep. Love this strip!
So — just how ‘invisible’ would Lupin be if somebody turned on the water?
I was half expecting that to happen!
I wish you could see my black tuxedo cat being invisible in my lavender sink whenever I am in the bathroom! I love BCN!
The man understands. The man understands. He groks Lupin. Lupin will choose the moment to become visible again. It cannot be rushed.
I adore Elvis and his comment in the last panel!
Kitties are invisible from humans unless they’re looking into your eyes and then you’re under their spell. That’s what my cat tells me.

D’awwwwww!
I love the use of the sink rim as an extra-wide smile in panel 6! And the little pile of neatly-folded clothes in the last panel.
Hi!! Hello!! Tee hee. I just love this entire comic!! Elvis cracks me up and the smirk on lupin face is adorible, I swear to cat, priceless!!
this reminda of of the time we moved and parked the cats in the upstairs bathrrom. One hid in the sink andd wailed until we liberated her. She ws not invisible but was very vocal.
I love it when Elvis makes his ears go back when he is upset.
Lupin is nekkie!
I had a little white cat who would lie on the bed with paws and tail tucked under among the throw pillows and stuffed animals and pretend she was a pillow when company came. A visitor once said “what a realistic cat pillow!” “Gail, that *is* a real cat!”
HAHAHA!!
Hey Elvis, what happens if you turn the water on?
Oh!

Yes, he is!! We use a few ASL signs for Lupin! I try to include them in the comic when I can. ๐
Another favorite! I love it when Lupin smiles but when he smiled in the sink!!! Oh my gosh, I totally lost it!!!
I am amazed at how much feline impishness (and pleasure) you can communicate in the form of a sink!! BCN is always a joy.
*gasp* there’s a naked Lupin running around! Where could he BE? =)
I want a Lupin sink so bad now. Get a deal with KOHLER or something!
Seconded.
That would be so fantastic haha!
I hear The Man saying the last panel with the same tone of voice of “Honey, where are my paaaaaaaaaaaants?” from the Lego movie.
I’ve been walking around doing the sing-song voice “Oh honey have you seen Miiiiiiinnie?” because my little black cat can disappear so easily!
Dear Lady: I can hardly wait for Thursday …Your talent keeps growing. All the best to you, your sweet family and your fantastic cats!
