Ah, the grumpy mouse story is starting to come together! I’m guessing Alice was hurt once – bad. I’m also guessing that Agnes is gonna go all renegade and return Buzzy to Puck, whether Alice agrees to it or not. But I also have a hunch that Agnes and Puck are going to work together to help Alice see what the Christmas spirit is all about.
I think Puck may have an ally. I hope. Love the mice watching “Our Nine Lives”. My cats love to play with bows too. Look forward to Monday and the next installment.
Kit Chase is Steve Johnson! That’s hilarious! As is the ‘I’d let him chase me.’ So so so clever, this.
Agnes and Alice will work things out, I’m sure. And Buzzy Mouse will reunite with ‘the little black cat’ but not without some major holiday shenanigans.
I bought a “Deadmou5e” t-shirt for my daughter a few years ago. It has since disappeared. I am wondering whether any of the mice in your strip had anything to do with that. Great story line!
This strip was worth waiting for. I love every bit of it. I keep looking to find different things. All so very clever. I do hope Tommy comes in at some point. Thank you so much Georgia for the happiness you bring with your imagination.
Georgia, thank you so much for this strip. Lately it has come to mean so much to me. A close family member recently underwent open heart surgery. It all resulted in the best possible outcome but there were times when the stress was intense. Your strip helped me cope with the stress by giving me a safe little world to escape to and take my mind off my troubles. Please don’t ever let anyone tell you that what you do is not important.
I am unable to have cats of my own so I have sort of adopted your fur babies through your strips. This way I can experience the joys of having cats in my life when you share the antics of your cats. Thank you for your generous spirit and your talent. I hope they bring you many wonderful blessings.
Thank you!! Wishes of swift healing and comfort to your loved one! I am so happy the strip could be here for you, and thank you for reaching out to let me know! Many hugs to you!
Do I see a face in the top right corner of the last panel, illuminated by the red light? A picture of Alice and Agnes’s dearly departed mother, who always made Christmas special? Or maybe that’s Baba Mouse. Or maybe I’m just seeing things. Poor Alice. She may have a tough outer shell, but I bet she’s got a soft, squishy center. I can’t wait for Monday. Then Thursday. Then…
I wonder, will this BCN explore the “mice/cheese” stereotype?
(Fact is, mice got a reputation of going after cheese because in archaic times it was one of the easier pantry items to go after; in reality they vastly prefer such victuals as peanut butter, seeds, nuts, and berries.)
Oh goody!!! It’s back! Horray! *happy jig* And all the detail is so amazing! This is so beautifully drawn (as all of them are), but this one has just so much going on in it, the detail and the storyline are brilliant. 🙂 Captain Fluff N’Puff!! Aww!!! Alice is so mardy and wistful–a little furry Grinch mouse!:p And “Our Nine Live”! Haha!! “I’d let him chase me”–LOL!
Love the Robber Mice! There’s a photo of four little mice at http://www.voanews.com/content/false-memories-planted-in-lab-mice/1710542.html that looks a lot like the Robber Mouse gang. Oddly, it can be found by Google searching Baba Mouse and looking at line 23 under images. Clearly I have too much time on my hands…
That’s crazy! They do look like Alice and the girls! Complete with the white one being an albino, just like Natasha!
It may interest you to know that everyone’s google results will be different, as they are based partly on your own browsing preferences, habits, etc. That photo does show up in my search results, but it is in the 28th line in my results. I, too, have too much time on my hands. 😎
I have to ask, and please forgive me for being dense: what is the fuzzy blue thing Alice is clinging to in the last panel ? Hanging by what looks like paper lips on the left side ? And who is Steve Johnson, a people world soap star ?
Love kit Chase. How handsome, rugged, and mysterious. Meeeeowwww !!!
It’s meant to be a mitten hung like a little hammock from paper clips, but it gets a little lost in the blue! And yes, Steve Johnson is a character with an eye patch from ‘Days of Our Lives.’ 😀
Too busy with wreath and table decorations we create every year to raise funds for our cat and dog shelter in Redwood Valley CA to really make any comment other than to say you just keep getting better and better Georgia! Happy to report that the three very sick kitties we have been treating for just about every ailment known to feline (including the dreaded pan leuk) seem to have turned the corner toward wellness ! Two more weeks of meds and we hope they will prove to have fought the whole mess off. Please think good thoughts about a pussycat! These babies need all the help they can get! Love to all who send good wishes!
!
‘”I’d let him chase me.”‘ is golden. I like how so many things fit in in more than one way.
You also wonderfully capture the different viewpoint. An example is ‘”What about this BIG SCREEN TV?”‘ To the mice, that is exactly what it is, and you say that.
Team Kit Chase
I may have multiple outlines and notes and sketches of Kit Chase….
Is he a male calico? Those are super rare.
He’s another breed, but I can’t say just yet–it may be revealed in the future…. 😉
It’s Patch from Days of Our Lives in Kitty form! I’d let him chase me too! 🙂
Is he a mix breed?
So deep this goes.
Aww! There’s hope for a safe Buzzy return!
Ah, poor little mousie!! I just want to give her a hug!
I totally agree!
Do I detect a “Squeek Humbug!” attitude in the final panel?
Methinks Alice doth protest too much. Her room is so decorated.
I like that term. Or “Bah, Humsqueek!”
“I’d let him chase me.”
Heh!
That greeting card is “Moonlight”, isn’t it?!
Based on it, yes!!! 😀
Meta Breaking Cat ftw!

Baba Mouse? I must be feeling dim tonight, but I don’t see her anywhere. That thespian Kit Chase, tho – I’d let him chase me too =^..^=
Baba Mouse in the cast list? What?
😉
I think “Bad Mouse Rock” might be a 90s alt. rock album, and that’s an outline of Baba Mouse on the cover?
Ooh, could be! I love all these little hints and secrets.
True! Baba Mouse wasn’t always a baba!
Pre 90s I know – but Baba Mouse as Suzy Quatro
Oooh… what a NAUGHTY MOUSIE!!!!
Fabu. Love getting the mouse perspectives. And that they’re not united over the plot.
Oh my cats, I love every bit of this.
I’m gonna see if Ameowzon Prime has “Our IX Lives”. Time for a binge watching session.
I love their ‘big screen TV’. And now I feel sorry for Alice.
There is something genuinely heartbreaking about her expression in the last panel. And where is Baba Mouse!?
What is that device? An old smartphone?
I think Puck may have an ally. I hope. Love the mice watching “Our Nine Lives”. My cats love to play with bows too. Look forward to Monday and the next installment.
I see a Scrooge/Grinch transformation in Alice’s future.
Bring it!
I love Steve so much, I just had to give a nod to him and give Our IX Lives’ bad boy a patch!!
Now I can only hope for a feline Kayla!
Oh cool, what is Christmas but Giving. Love this storyline!!
I bought a “Deadmou5e” t-shirt for my daughter a few years ago. It has since disappeared. I am wondering whether any of the mice in your strip had anything to do with that. Great story line!
And this is why we had to stop using ribbons on our gifts.
I love the interaction of the Robber Mice. And that they seem to watch BCN; Agnes knows darn well what they’ve gotten in to by kidnapping Buzzy.
…and through all of the motivation reveals, I find myself wondering who’s smartphone that is.
Poor Agnes. She really likes Puck. I hope she wins over Alice.
Deeper and deeper we go, into the very walls of the narrative! This is wonderful!
I just noticed, Natasha is an albino, isn’t she?
Yes! 😀
This strip was worth waiting for. I love every bit of it. I keep looking to find different things. All so very clever. I do hope Tommy comes in at some point. Thank you so much Georgia for the happiness you bring with your imagination.
I notice the mice have thumbs.
Warning! Gushy fan letter to follow…

Brava! Brava! Brava!
Me, I’m expecting a visit from Christmas Past in the form of a certain non-corporeal feline reporter we all know and love.
Yes! I was expecting Christmas Past, Present, and Future, but had forgotten about the resident ghosts.
I’ve been thinking the same myself even tho’ Tille’s not listed.
Do I see a face in the top right corner of the last panel, illuminated by the red light? A picture of Alice and Agnes’s dearly departed mother, who always made Christmas special? Only Pucky could pull off hunting while sporting a bow on his head. 😀
But Christmas foods tend to the traditional—even stereotypical. What would be a more traditional food for mice, than cheese?
🙂
This is fantastic. Good grief just when you think it’s impossible to love BCN more…
Didn’t think I’d see *you* here!
Buzzy looks like he’s coping.
Oh goody!!! It’s back! Horray! *happy jig* And all the detail is so amazing! Oh my God. They go look like the Robber Mice. Nice find.
I agree!! So cute!
I want a tee shirt with Kit Chase on it!!
I have to ask, and please forgive me for being dense: what is the fuzzy blue thing Alice is clinging to in the last panel ? Hanging by what looks like paper lips on the left side ? And who is Steve Johnson, a people world soap star ?

I know they will untie Mousie, I will not worry!!!
i agree with awgiedawgie
Please, are the mice from Iowa? Their mugshots say “Cedar Falls.”
Oh !…what a dummy…I read that as “Cheddar Falls” !!
Or Cheddar Gorge
Oooh, I like your version much better than Cedar Falls!!
Drat, I have to confess I do too, haha!!!
Alice puts on a bad front, but I feel sorry for her. Such a sad little mousie.

I hope this one doesn’t make me cry my face off this year!
Watch out, meecy mice!
Oh, little Scroogey mouse…
Pucky with the bow looks like a cute little girl in the first panels.
“Sisters have two settings: Laugh and Fight” She speaks the truth.
“Brooding Winter Greeting Cards”!!
‘”I’d let him chase me.”‘ is golden. I like how so many things fit in in more than one way.
