Daaw! Puck’s kittens enjoyed watching fire, too. They would sit in front of the fireplace and watch the flickers. Whenever one got too big, the biggest one would leap back and hiss at it. That’s when Puck would come in and take them all back to their nest – the bottom drawer and an old dresser.
Hello everyone! I have big news that I should have announced on Monday! You can now find ‘Breaking Cat News’ on GoComics here: http://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news
The comic has relaunched there, starting over from the very beginning for their readers. Some of you have already found it, and thank you so much for commenting there! It was wonderful to see familiar names and avatars in a new place! I’m really excited about this! GoComics syndicates strips such as ‘Calvin and Hobbes’, ‘Garfield’, ‘Peanuts’, ‘Poorly Drawn Lines’, ‘Sarah’s Scribbles’, and many, many more! It is a huge honor to be syndicated with such notable comics, and it’s 100% because of the response from you folks enjoying ‘Breaking Cat News’, sharing the strips, and spreading the word! Thank you!!!
Rest assured, I will continue to update this site! The comic is running current on this site, (can you believe we’re up to 61 strips??) and will keep going with new strips planned for every Monday and Thursday. As you all know, occasionally strips are a little late. After all, I create this in the evening after my son goes to bed and if he is teething or on bedtime strike (or if inspiration is taking a little longer than usual on a particular strip) sometimes a new comic makes a Tuesday or Friday appearance. I usually try to warn readers when a post will be late and offer a sneak peek of the next headline on our Instagram account (user name: breakingcatnews) and my Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/GeorgiaDunnStudio).
So, that is the latest! ‘Breaking Cat News’ is now syndicated! I am over the Moon and owe it all to you folks! Some of you have been reading and commenting and encouraging me since the very first few strips, and that has meant so much. I am delighted that this site will continue with new strips, photos of the boys, etc. I enjoy creating this comic for you all so much, and I look forward every Monday and Thursday to your reactions! Thank you so, so much. I cannot believe what friendly, supportive readers this comic has, I feel so very grateful that you all enjoy ‘Breaking Cat News.’
Congratulations! Syndication is great validation of your skills! (other than all of us of course) Can’t wait to see what’s next for Breaking Cat News π
Congratulations on the syndication of BCN, Georgia!
As we look forward every Monday and Thursday to your newest breaking stories for a peek at the joy in your household….love your art work and the way you share little snippets of your life and the darling boys.
Wishing you continued success.
One of my cats was totally fascinated by candles. Until she burned off all her whiskers on them. They sort of melt, it’s really neat. (They grew back, she stays away from fire, all ended without injury.)
Congratulations on syndication! I love Tuck’s fluffed out tail as Lupin flies over him to get to the fire ball! You are so talented and so in tune with your cats. Well done!
Congratulations on syndication. All your success and praise is well deserved. I look forward to every post. Even though I get email alerts when new strips are posted I still check frequently throughout the day. Once it is posted I savor each panel and then re-read it a few times more!
As for today’s strip – it could not be more accurate!!! Trying to have a moment of peace and quiet? Nope. A small furry critter is in the middle of it. What’s this? Can I have that? I need to sniff this. I need to swat that. Seriously?!?
I’m glad I’m not the only one who does this! If I really need a hit I pick a random strip – or start from the beginning again if the gap between strips is too long!
Congratulations on the syndication of Breaking Cat News! I have two Siberian cats (Arabella and Clyde) and last night we had someone over for dinner. It was hard to keep them off the table for they usually eat with us. After getting them on the floor and off the table, Arabella jumped into our dinner guests lap and startled her! I am sure she was thinking you said stay off the table you didn’t say anything about laps! Again Congratulations!! I look forward to BCN every week!
I am so pleased that Breaking Cat News is now syndicated! What a huge affirmation of your skills and so well deserved! My sister turned me on to BCN and I have forwarded this link to people in my office. I eagerly await email notification that a new strip has posted, read it, laugh, call my sister so we can read it and laugh together. I even go home and tell my husband (and our furry girls Wendy and Yoli) what breaking news the cats reported.
I love this strip as my husband and I also occasionally attempt a candle-lit dinner. As the “cat mansion” (scratching post) is close to the dining table we are usually closely observed by two sets of jade green eyes and switching tails from middle platform. They are indeed fascinated by the “ball of light.” Eventually, one or the other, sometimes both try to climb into our laps to see what is the source of the good smells coming from our plates.
Congratulations! Also, to keep cats away from our dinner, we use The Equalizer (big squirt gun). Two of our cats like cheese & milk, three like meat, and one wants to eat the napkins.
My brothers (Rusty, Batman, Cid, Rudie and Monty) and I love romance too π
We also love BCN and send hearty concats on your syndication – you so deserve a higher profile, we’re delighted for you!
heh heh. reminds me of a business dinner party years ago; tiggerbits hurled himself from the floor to the absolute middle of the table laden with our best efforts….my shocked (and true) announcement that he never did such things was clearly not believed….i still giggle, i’m pretty sure tigs was tired of all the pomposity!!
Just revisiting some prior reports, always a profitable venture. That Lupin, such a sweetheart. wearing his dinner suit, a red tie for the occasion. Echoing others…”love ya too Lupin”
Haha! Lupin is SO excited today, love it!

And I love you, Lupin!

Panel nine is like finding perfection in chaos.

I think the congratulations should go to GoComics for having the good sense to syndicate your brilliant BCN!
Just revisiting some prior reports, always a profitable venture. That Lupin, such a sweetheart. wearing his dinner suit, a red tie for the occasion. Echoing others…”love ya too Lupin”
