Hello everyone! I apologize for the delay on Monday’s strip this week. Baby has been up the past few nights (we suspect she is teething again, poor Baby!) and it has not left much time for painting. Thank you always for your patience! I hope you enjoy it. π
It’s absolutely unnecessary for you to apologize for delaying your strip: we just figure that there’s a really good reason. AND ESPECIALLY if the reason for the delay was Baby. BTW, I remember those days of teething….you have my complete sympathy. π
I second Matthew’s comment that it is unnecessary for you to apologize. Your family must come first! All having the strip delayed does, is to give us (your readers) the privilege of reading it on a different day!
Just love Natasha “talking” to Elvis. Too funny. What is she going to do with part of the plant she is carrying on her back? Add we are getting some insight into Beatrix past.
Tommy and Sophie are here. ππΊAnd the boys with pictures of their roots is so funny, except for poor Lupin or is there something we don’t know?
Lupin is his own sub species – lupi lupinipus – I believe. Although I’m no expert maybe some one could correct me? I think the previously, thought to be extinct, Fluffapawrus Rex (thomas tommy fluffus) may have been a distant cousin.
I like the late-night strips, I get ’em right before I go to bed *g* Hope Baby is feeling better!
Is that StupidFox in Lupin’s second picture? I love that just because his name’s Lupin, he thinks foxes are cats. And Puck covering the microphone and whispering.
And oh, poor surprised puffy Elvis.
…Am I the only one who hears Sophie in a British accent?
Aww, hope the Baby is feeling better soon – that whole teething thing is never much fun! Brilliant strip as always – love how you fit so many of the characters in! Poofy Elvis always gets a laugh, Pucky & Scout getting back to their roots is adorable and Elvis “talking wild cats” is hysterical! I like the turn of events with the new hat sported by the plant of many teeth; I agree with Tommy & Sophie that it’s a thing of beauty…..and am dying to know what the robber mouse is up to!!!!
This must be laugh out loud Tuesday! Talking cactus! Sophie artiste-ing! I assumed Lupin is just confused because he is a “fox” and a white one at that. Who could blame him? he’s soooo suave and handsome. And what is naughty Natasha up to? I thought she got a new sewing set for Christmas? I hope it is just new needles… cue suspenseful music… (Thank you Georgia. Poor Gwen, keeping you all in our thoughts.)
Fashion expert Elvis?, who knew! Love that it’s Natasha stealing the needles. did she go through all of the new ones she got at Christmas already? Just love our eccentric Sophie’s take on the new hat. Worth waiting for Georgia. Hope the baby is feeling better and that you all get some sleep. Love to you and your family!
I read a (non-scientific) book on foxes that kind of suggests foxes as being part feline, part canine, sorta in-between the two. Now I have to look at *real* biology books on the subject, but I do agree with the premise that in terms of canine and feline *behaviour*, the fox has a bit of both! Genetic or not {g}….
Aha! The “Plant of Many Teeth” is really an alien. It has co-opted the Robber Mice. It’s new hat is really a broadcast array aimed at the Planet of Many Teeth.
haha, that was good, but still, that subscribe notification, “Please carry on as though I never made a mistake”, that really made me rolling on the floor.))) Keep up the good work, Elvis, perfect as ever.)
baby teething, sleepless nites, comic strip is of plant with many teeth
connection perhaps….
i remember sleepless nites as well. i find myself jealous of our cat sleeping.
as we expected you filled us in on background of missed monday strip. thanks for sharing so we could be there for you in our thoughts and words.
hope baby is feeling better an everyone is sleeping well.
what i also remember is how frustrated i felt not being to take away the pain. its so difficult watching our loved ones hurting. hugs to you all.
Love Beatrix already in a junior reporter role! When I saw the title for today have to admit my reaction was “Forget the cactus, is Bea gonna be in today’s report??” And kitties getting back to their roots are always adorable!
I can just see the aftermath of today’s report, the cats huddled around the monitors as Burt scans through the footage for the proof of the Talking Cactus, then…”NATASHA!!”
The first time through I read the strip on my phone and didn’t see the robber mouse answering Elvis. I was wondering how you managed that and suspected little Beatrix of playing.
Natasha is carrying a nice “leather” bag for her needles aka swords. Love the strip as usual. You have the most wonderful imagination, Georgia. Thank you for making my day happy.
Always, always worth the wait. Please do not give a thought to being a little delayed…just makes it all the sweeter. Plus, this is free and wonderful stuff-we are grateful for it, and you get to have a life, too.
The comic is awesome, but Tommy just doesn’t seem like himself.. i guess when he’s not got a wide grin, his face seems narrower?
(Not a complaint! Just noticing)
Well, we do know that Natasha loves her pointy things! That’s quite a harvest she’s taking in by the looks of it.
Lupin identifying with foxes is just delightful. Beatrix identifies with jaguars, Puck with black panthers of course…
And Sophie, what a delight! “Tell it, it is brave.” I also loved Elvis’ droll expression as he did as she asked. “Just humoring the local eccentric here…”
I agree with Laura. I’m glad it’s just not me..He just doesn’t look like himself in panel 4…The rest is awesome though..No worries about when it gets published. Whenever you publish it, is the perfect time:)
Ahhhh nevermind! I see it now! It’s cactus needles in a sack! I dunno why but it looked like a baby mouse or something on her back–the needles looked like whiskers to me. Haha! :p
When the speech bubble is dashes, is that to signify that their signing to Lupin? I can’t recall any times where the dashes-speechbubble have been directed to someone other than Lupin (not including when talking to Lupin AND another cat).

Thank you, Matthew!!
What he said!

Real life baby girl has to come before pen and ink and watercolor baby girl.
Nice one. I totally overlooked the robber mouse (Edith?) until after “the cactus answered”, and at first I was like – “Wha…?” ^_^
Kinda like Elvis. >_<
Keep up the great work and greetings from Germany
Your Guin is growing up so fast.

Tommy and Sophie are here. ππΊAnd the boys with pictures of their roots is so funny, except for poor Lupin or is there something we don’t know?
I’m thinking robber mouse is stealing the needles for sewing, of course knowing the Baba mouse, they might be using the. For voodoo. π
I suspect that those are backup weapons. There are few battles that a well-placed cactus spine can’t win.
π
He does kind of look like an arctic fox! Canis Lupus is a species including foxes. Professor Lupin was a werewolf. Lupin is cunning like a fox.
Lupin is his own sub species – lupi lupinipus – I believe. Although I’m no expert maybe some one could correct me? I think the previously, thought to be extinct, Fluffapawrus Rex (thomas tommy fluffus) may have been a distant cousin.
LOL! I think you’re right!
I like the late-night strips, I get ’em right before I go to bed *g* Hope Baby is feeling better!

…Am I the only one who hears Sophie in a British accent?
…and now I wanna see the Planet of Many Teeth. As long as it’s not directed by Uwe Boll, who I feel is the most likely candidate right now.
It comes from space! It has devoured many worlds over time! And now… EARTH IS ON THE MENU! Beware…. THE PLANET OF MANY TEETH!
Would totally watch that film…especially if Fluffasaurus Rex came to the rescue!!

Puck, always so insightful as always…
Love Elvis “What the (censored)” poofiness..
Lupin: What does the fox say?
is Edith stealing sewing needles from the cactus?? So cute!
love that the cats are true to their wild roots, my cat is convinced he used to be a leopard.
*Natasha, not Edith. That’s what i get for not checking the names at the bottom!!
Lupin – raised by foxes? Mind you, given his name, maybe Wolves would be more appropriate!
Just the smile I needed this morning.
Sophie, I so agree with you – don’t listen that ‘local eccentric’ nonsense π you’re a cat of great vision and sensitivity xxxxxxxxxxx
Our little Rain cat is also fond of the back of the couch…yeah Picky!!!

Thank you, Eva! She *almost* made it through the night last night, I am hoping she feels better today!
So glad to hear she’s feeling better! I hope she makes it through more of the night tonight. π

Thank you, Gloria!
I loved how Sophie’s description of the “Plant with Many Teeth” fit Tommy. πΊ
π
I imagine Sophie whispering “tell it it is brave”
And I’m with Lupin, for the longest time when I wad little I thought foxes were cats!
Pucky Panthera, mighty hunter, really wild !!!
I did a double-take:
“THANKS, ELVIS!”
Wait, whaaaat?
-looks closer-
-scrolls up to see if she was always there-
-scrolls back down, then back up-
The cactus has a flowery hat of distraction. That’s the only reasonable explanation.
Happy! Happy! Happy! Love little Scout . . . . ! I think of Foxes as cats – Doesn’t everybody!?? LOL!
Classic BCN! I love how this strip sews so many of the characters together so nicely!
Oops! That was Beatrix! . . . . LOL!
Aha! The “Plant of Many Teeth” is really an alien. It has co-opted the Robber Mice. It’s new hat is really a broadcast array aimed at the Planet of Many Teeth.
Invasion is immanent!
Can Elvis save the day?
Poofy Elvis! Lupin and Foxes! And Pucky’s Back of Couch place! All perfect, as always, heh!
haha, that was good, but still, that subscribe notification, “Please carry on as though I never made a mistake”, that really made me rolling on the floor.))) Keep up the good work, Elvis, perfect as ever.)
Sophie is *not* eccentric! She is a cultural consultant!!! And the plant *is* brave! p.s. Is the mouse stealing a bit of cactus?
Yes! Natasha is harvesting the needles. :)?
“Local Eccentric” too cute!
Beatrix in a romper! too adorable.
Is Lupin doing a little shout-out to Stupid Fox?
And foxes are like the perfect blend of canine and feline …
I had not meant it to be, but I can see where people are seeing that!
Also, that comic is hilarious, so if people are seeing it, it’s a pretty good happy accident as the man Bob Ross would have said. π
Ah Bob Ross …
We shall always remember you fondly.
Sooo worth the wait! Squeee!

Thank you so much, Alexa!
Think I’ll have some business cards made up for myself with “Local Eccentric” as my title. Love it!
Love Beatrix already in a junior reporter role! When I saw the title for today have to admit my reaction was “Forget the cactus, is Bea gonna be in today’s report??” And kitties getting back to their roots are always adorable!

Love this strip!!!
It occurs to me that Lupin’s “roots” could be a snow leopard.
Always, always worth the wait. Please do not give a thought to being a little delayed…just makes it all the sweeter. Plus, this is free and wonderful stuff-we are grateful for it, and you get to have a life, too.

Nice comeback, Natasha.
I hope your Baby is fine soon.
Thank you, Gene!
What’s that on Natasha’s back???!
Sophie could be a fashion editor cat with her colourful discription of the cactus’ flower! π
Ahhhh nevermind! I see it now! It’s cactus needles in a sack! I dunno why but it looked like a baby mouse or something on her back–the needles looked like whiskers to me. Haha! :p
Could the cactus actually be a Red Hat Lady?
“What was once a misunderstood spiky wretch is now a thing of beauty. Transformed by a splash of colorful rebellion.”
Could Sophie be also be secretly referring to Tommy’s cumulative effect upon her?? She’s finally warming up to his love???
I hope one day to be described as the local eccentric like Sophie.
Trust me, it’s over-rated. ;^}
Is the Thing with Many Teeth related to a certain McPedro?
When the speech bubble is dashes, is that to signify that their signing to Lupin? I can’t recall any times where the dashes-speechbubble have been directed to someone other than Lupin (not including when talking to Lupin AND another cat).
That is when they are whispering! π
