This has to be my favorite one yet! I have always loved Puck, but now Elvis is winning my heart. Cow propaganda! These are just tabloids! You’re truly brilliant. I look forward to these comics and immediately check as soon as I see the link.
Love the tabloid comment. So funny. We read to my son when he was little and he reads to his now. So like the cats to be ‘in the middle’ of it because they let you do nothing alone.
He does! He did it more when our son was younger (or rather before he could reach for hugs, haha!) but Pucky will still often want to be a part of story time even now. They all gather about when there’s a book out.
Those three panels of Lupin and the missing mittens might be my favorite thing on this site, ever. Our kitties like to move in whenever there’s a book out as well. I have enough books around the house that I suppose it’s no surprise they’ve developed literary leanings as well =)
Hello from Wakefield, and thank you so much for always making me smile with your all too familiar kitty observations and broadcasts. It’s as if you are peeking around the corners in our house to see the antics of Rocky, Cisco and Monkey!
Heehee! When I first read this strip, I was on my work computer and had to stop myself from laughing out loud because it was and is the funniest strip ever! It has to my most favourite. And yeah, I always wondered about the cat who married and owl–can you imagine their children?! LOL
Can prints be ordered of any strips? Because I’d like to order a print of this one! Just discovered your site and love it. I work at a public library and am a storyteller for storytime so I love this one!
Hello Alicia, I love that! I’m honored! With two little ones (three and one) we spend a lot of mornings at storytimes in libraries! And yes! Over on GoComics, they offer prints of any strip. On the Breaking Cat News page there is a link to order prints, or I believe you can email comicartprints@amuniversal.com to request a specific print, if it’s hard to track down that one on the site. I’ve heard from readers who have ordered that they do a lovely job! And the person in the print department has become a friend of mine, they’re pretty awesome! They do great work!
Everybody poops!! Priceless.

Thank you, Ali!! 😀
Thank you for wide-eyed cat view fun!
BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Love the panels of Puck cuddled up next to the baby on the Woman’s lap! And Lupin’s “Oh NO” is precious!
BCN is the best comic strip ever! I love all your cats and have no doubt that they do actually have a newscast.
Yes! All of this!
Are you tired of hearing you’re a genius? Kid’s books as tabloids? GENIUS!

Laughing almost to the point of crying!
Sweet baby cheeks and Pucky bear – so cute. Like whiskers on kittens and warm woollen mittens …………. these are a few of my favourite things 🙂
Oh – forgot to ask – does Puck really sit on your lap when you read to your baby? That is so adorable!
He does! He did it more when our son was younger (or rather before he could reach for hugs, haha!) but Pucky will still often want to be a part of story time even now. They all gather about when there’s a book out.
Elvis is far too dignified (read, pompous) to poop!
‘more cow propaganda’?
And here I am thinking I am up to date with cow propaganda….
Just brilliant!
Elvis denying that he poops is the best thing ALL DAY.
All these stories AND MORE, in today’s Daily Mail!
[DISCLAIMER: I love the Daily Mail. Doesn’t mean I can’t make fun of them.]
Yes, cats do love books. 🙂
It is good to see the Woman getting in on the reporting action.
