My 2 kittens have upgraded to paper towels, full rolls only. They never had that much joy with the TP rolls.
Great comic as usual, keep up the good work.
Can’t wait to see the future BCN book.
Hahaha! That’s exactly how my cats react to that particular “fancy cat toy”! BTW, Georgia, I just bought two of your teeshirts (right over the rainbow and Ma’am X3); I’m so happy that Zazzle ships around the world, as I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to get them here in Canada! Next up, prints – the only problem is, I want them all….
It just goes to prove Elvis can come up with a chart for anything!
(And thanks to The Woman for taking care of that pesky “back of the head” grooming issue!)
Doh!! I’m sorry, Moll Cat! I did that thing where I uploaded a file that was just a bit too large. I just adjusted it and reposted, can you see it now?
Innovations like this don’t come cheap, indeed. First there’s all that work of getting at a fresh roll of tp where the humans have stashed it under the sink, chewing/bunny-kicking the roll into submission, and unravelling the entire thing, strewing bits of it all over the apartment! One of my kitties, Loud Howard, is definitely up to the task, though–it’s his very favorite thing to do.
In real life Elvis’s favorite toy is a wind up Easter chick he stole from my desk his first Easter. He’s had it since he was a kitten. We call it ‘Clucky Chicken.’ 🙂 He LOVES feather-on-string toys too.
I’m sorry, I did add your email too 🙁 I’m afraid I don’t know how to make it happen beyond that. One gentleman found that his email settings were blocking mass emails, I don’t know if it might be that? Can anyone out there think of what might be blocking the subscription?
This may a dumb question, but it would be even dumber if I didn’t ask it… Archeo, Did you check your spam/junk mail folder?
Georgia, do you get email notifications for any messages that could not be delivered?
I do not, alas. I use Mail Chimp–after even more problems with the WordPress subscriptions. I could be missing them though? Issues may be compounded by my own lack of tech skills. :/
Honestly, the email has never worked for me despite a couple of attempts to sign up, so instead I just follow on Twitter/Facebook and also hit refresh a lot. 🙂
Aw, Ace, I’m sorry. Thank you! Sometimes when I add them manually it takes… Sometimes not. I wish I knew why so I could fix it for folks who can’t get the emails.
I actually have a crochet pattern for the rolls where you can add nip on the inside and close off the ends!! Haven’t tried making it yet, cause you know, once I do, they will lose all interest!
Georgia, thanks for grooming Elvis, his dignity was really suffering. Love Puck’s face as he runs to you for help, he is soooooooooo adorable. Just wondering if cats everywhere have been let back into the bedroom yet? Also, the current buzzy mouse has a white ring that the original didn’t, is this a piece of clothing or a different buzzy mouse? Your comics are the highlights of my week, thank you for sharing!
They have been allowed back into the bedroom. 🙂 And have all been excellent in not waking the baby! It is meant to be the same Buzzy Mouse, I just may need to “update” the original’s look! Ha!
My cats love these as well! Sadly, Fynn has no interest in waiting, and prefers to create his own. (I have to keep the tp in the medicine cabinet, and have posted a small sign explaining why.) Fynn also is passionately fond of the plastic rings from milk jugs, as well as hair ties. I can tell him to ‘fetch the mouse’ and he will come back with a hair tie for me to throw.
I am so happy I found this comic. Thank you, Georgia.
Free toys, and those stolen, are the most fun. TP rolls and plastic bottle tearoffs. My neighbor provides my guy with a regular supply of the tear tabs from 5gal water bottles. A new one is hours of pouncing fun in the grass to go with the hours of fun a fresh TP roll provides. I need a vacuum that doesn’t choke up on the cardboard shreds, though.
The TP rolls don’t have anywhere near as much fascination for two of feline masters as the faucet dripping fresh water! It apparently tastes much better than the water in their dishes! Fortunately, with two sinks, they don’t have to compete for drips! Now if they could just contribute to the water bill……
Back when cameras still used film, we were advised to put a couple of beads in the rubber cans the film came in and let the cats discover them. “Innovations like these don’t come cheap” tested and found wanting.
Only found your comic yesterday at gocomics, read it all. Needed more so I googled you and boy am I happy I did!!!
I whole website dedicated to the cats that I haven’t met but totally love!!! Oh your boys are glorious and wonderful and I have read a bunch of the comments on here and there is talk of a book!! BEST NEWS EVER!!!!! Whoop whoop!! Super excited!! Yay!! Stay awesome!
Love all the way from New Zealand!
Love this! Yes…bathrooms are a treasure trove of interesting toys and treats! We don’t care for the rolls around here…too pedestrian apparantly…however we do have a fondness for nail files, caps on any bottles that can be pried loose, Q tips when available for thievery, the odd smidge of paper that gets loose, the bath mat. I’m just grateful they leave the tp alone! LOL
An empty roll is one of the first toys the baby kittens get. Very inexpensive and there are always more! We use a lot of TP at the shelter for quick cleanups. We also use the roll from duct tape, but have to be careful who gets it. I have had to “rescue” larger kittens who have managed to get their head and front feet through the hole, but can’t get out! As always a great strip Georgia … many of us live for Monday’s and Thursdays.
When I was a kid, our cats favorite toys were always my Dad’s crumpled-up-into-a-ball cigarette packs (with the cellophane still on, of course). Hours of entertainment… 🙂
Our previous cats loved pipe cleaners with the ends twisted together and bent a bit so they wouldn’t lie flat. We still find the odd one when shifting furniture. Our present cats like the Cat Dancer (a long springy wire with catnip soaked cardboard twists on the ends) and “Follow” – pouncing on a piece of string as we walk around dragging it behind us.
Your strip is adding to our cat vocabulary. When our boy sees Frankie from next door sitting looking into the family room and rushes over to fiercely wave his paws at the intruder through the glass (while Frankie sits there and looks bored), this is now referred to as “going full Elvis”.
Ha, ha, ha! At least it’s an empty roll! In the winter (when the air blows on the end of the roll), I have to keep a ribbon tied around it or all the toilet paper I have is on the floor.
Sometimes I am a little slow, but I just realized that Elvis is getting the back of his head groomed by the woman! !!! Hahahahahahaha!!!!! I guess Lupin and Puck are sticking to their decision to not groom Elvis. Hahaha 😄😃😁😅😂
Love it! TP rolls and boxes. The best things in life are indeed inexpensive. But a little catnip now and then doesn’t hurt. 🙂
I have a sneaking suspicion that the last two panels actually happened.
Awww <3 love the Puck action pics <3 Looks like Elvis is still having no luck getting the others to groom him still… luckily Woman to the rescue 😀
My puppies love the expensive bathroom toys too. Actually I'm starting to think they are secretly eating the paper to get the toys faster.
It’s all fun until someone gets stuck. Love Elvis being brushed. 🙂
So the People have noticed the grooming strike now?
Also, I adore the “Roll playing!”
“Roll Playing”…..now THAT’S funny!
My 2 kittens have upgraded to paper towels, full rolls only. They never had that much joy with the TP rolls.
Great comic as usual, keep up the good work.
Can’t wait to see the future BCN book.
Aw Pucky, so cute. Fancy toy indeed, it looks quite expensive 😉
Awesome, as always 😀
Yes. We dont need to actually spend money on cat toys! They appreciate almost everything! Wonderful, again, thanks x
Hahaha! That’s exactly how my cats react to that particular “fancy cat toy”! Hooray!!! Thank you so much, Alison!! 😀
It just goes to prove Elvis can come up with a chart for anything!
(And thanks to The Woman for taking care of that pesky “back of the head” grooming issue!)
So the Woman has been promoted to be Elvis’ head groomer? And Puck is absolutely adorkable!
Looking pretty rough there Elvis…
My black cat, Tar, looks at me with love like Pucky is looking at his woman.
hooray!
excelsior!
now, I can sleep, happily.
Thank you, Miss Georgia!
High point of my day!
Yay! You’re welcome!!
Hi Georgia, received email but no comic, sob 🙁
Doh!! I’m sorry, Moll Cat! I did that thing where I uploaded a file that was just a bit too large. I just adjusted it and reposted, can you see it now?
Can see it now, thanks, and I love the last panel, adorable 🙂
And now I’ve looked at it again I love how you and Elvis are positioned on and out of the frame – great touch!
Yay! You’re welcome, thank you for letting me know!
BAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! Poor Puck!
I am slain by Puck’s cuteness with the TP roll, especially his one-legged “disembowel” maneuver. Also at Elvis getting brushed.
When fancy toys attack! That would be a perfect tshirt
Ours plays with a tennis ball that had belonged to the dog … (sigh) …
Innovations like this don’t come cheap, indeed. Is real-life Elvis not usually a fan of fancy cat toys? What does he like to play with?
Love the Woman grooming Elvis. His Excellency can’t be going around with bed-head!
In real life Elvis’s favorite toy is a wind up Easter chick he stole from my desk his first Easter. He’s had it since he was a kitten. We call it ‘Clucky Chicken.’ 🙂 He LOVES feather-on-string toys too.
They all seem to like those feather-on-string toys! Our Lewie loved them best. He would jump really high to catch them. We called him Air Lewie.
Still no email… News story soon
I’m sorry, I did add your email too 🙁 I’m afraid I don’t know how to make it happen beyond that. One gentleman found that his email settings were blocking mass emails, I don’t know if it might be that? Can anyone out there think of what might be blocking the subscription?
I wish I were a wee bit better with computers!!
This may a dumb question, but it would be even dumber if I didn’t ask it… Archeo, Did you check your spam/junk mail folder?

it was actually going to my promotions divider… Huh?
I’m so glad they have been found! 😀 Whew!
The grooming saga continues. This may be BCN’s longest story arc if we don’t count the Christmas special.
Don’t forget the laundry room story arc.
You forgot the wonderful sound it makes going down the stairs… ah, to be young and cat again
I actually have a crochet pattern for the rolls where you can add nip on the inside and close off the ends!! Haven’t tried making it yet, cause you know, once I do, they will lose all interest!
Loving Elvis’s analysis of the TP roll perfection.

Oh, how I love Pucky’s vampire teefs!

My ‘Chanur’ prefers to lick water off the floor of the shower. 🙂
Back when cameras still used film, we were advised to put a couple of beads in the rubber cans the film came in and let the cats discover them. “Innovations like these don’t come cheap” tested and found wanting.
When my eldest child was a baby we made a rattle in the same way. Of course these days that would probably be considered a huge safety hazard.
Every time a comic comes out, I think this one is the best one yet. But this may truly be the best. Although, your Christmas series is hard to beat.
So cute! The toy fought back, eh, Pucky? 😀
Our Bagheera likes TP rolls, too. Only, he prefers them when they still have all the tissue. Heehee.
Georgia – can I just say that you are brilliant and your cats make me laugh out loud! Thank you for sharing your talent. And your cats.
Thank you, Jan!!
Oh my goodness, my phone originally put “Kan,” I’m SO sorry!!!! Thank you, JAN!!!! 😀
Only found your comic yesterday at gocomics, read it all. Needed more so I googled you and boy am I happy I did!!!

Yay!!! Thank you so much!!! 😀
For those with tech issues, I was given an Amazon Fire device. It can do things my outdated computer system cannot. Shows BCN beautifully.
An eggbox section suspended on a string always worked for my two.

I’ve found so many tp tubes around my house. Silly kitties.
When I was a kid, our cats favorite toys were always my Dad’s crumpled-up-into-a-ball cigarette packs (with the cellophane still on, of course). Hours of entertainment… 🙂
Wait, that thing is a TOY?!?!? How did we not realize that? Oh man, we’re failing at catting. Time for remedial how to cat lessons for us!
Failing at catting – ha ha!
Awwww: Puck’s worried face when his play session goes south and the toy threatens a much-needed arm!
Good to see Elvis getting groomed properly 🙂
Love this breaking new’s. I think every cat I have ever had loved that fancy cat toy.

Who needs fancy cat toys when the bathroom is full of treasures like floss and hair-bands and q-tips? Anything that fun HAS to be expensive, right?
I hate these new advances in toy technology.
Sometimes I am a little slow, but I just realized that Elvis is getting the back of his head groomed by the woman! !!! Hahahahahahaha!!!!! I guess Lupin and Puck are sticking to their decision to not groom Elvis. Hahaha 😄😃😁😅😂
Every pet I have ever come across, whether it be cats, dogs, birds or ferrets, loves toilet paper rolls/paper towel rolls in their own special way.
I make those for my cat all the time!!!!
