Ulysses used to be utterly SCREW THIS I’M HIDING over thunder. the funny thing was, he had no problem with the vacuum cleaner, my drum set, airplanes and police helicopters, gunfire, and the one time you could see a waterspout tornado from my apartment (which looked out over Lake Ontario, so the tornado was a good 10 miles away from us, on the lake), he was quite interested.
Haha!! Thunder really seems to drive them nuts. Our boys are pretty good about almost everything else, but thunder sends them scattering. Elvis and Puck react the same way to the vacuum cleaner, but Lupin–who is deaf in real life–just chases it around and tries to hop on it. 🙂
Oh blast, I finally spelled something wrong! (I’ve been worried that might happen at some point!) Sorry, and much thanks for pointing it out so I could fix it.
Oh. My. GAWD. You actually corrected it in the comic?!?!?! I wasn’t expecting that at all! I’m really impressed you took the time to go back and fix it. That shows a lot of dedication to quality. Thank you so much!!!
(I know most people wouldn’t get so excited about such a minor correction, but I promise I’m not being sarcastic. I notice errors very easily because I have to focus very hard in order to read. Small mistakes like “lightening” often throw me off, but most people barely notice so they don’t understand why it’s so distracting to me. Even this simple correction makes it so much easier for me to enjoy the comic the way you intended. And I’m also just really pleased that you saw my comment!)
I’m so glad the correction made your day! And that you appreciate it so much! Thank you again for letting me know. I try to make sure there are no misspellings, but bad habits sometimes get missed as it is handwritten. I do have a proofreader, but this one got past both of us somehow! I definitely don’t want anyone distracted by misspellings!
I’m sooo in love with your Lupin. He’s my favourite. <3
Thank you so much for creating and sharing these wonderful comics. They always make my smile and give me this nice fuzzy feeling in my belly. 🙂
Best. Webcomic. Ever.
Georgia, thank you so much for making this. Every page is like a piece of sunshine.
Thank you!!

But thunder was all “NO. NO NO NO. NO NO. NO.”

Hiding in the linen closet is great!
By the way, lightening means making lighter in color or weight. The electricity that causes thunder is lightning.
Bah! I can’t believe I did that. Thank you for pointing it out so that I could fix it!
For future reference, it’s actually “lightning” (no E) for the weather event. It’s “lightening” when things are starting to lighten.
Excellent comic as always! Elvis in the linens is absolutely adorable.

I love the last panel. While my 2 kitties have no issue with thunderstorms, they don’t like the vacuum.
awwww, kitties, sending soothing murmurs. Georgia you have lightened up our day! inky sez…”thunder, meh, but vacuuum, argghhhh…runrunrun”.
My cats run and hide from the coffee grinder

Thank you for these wonderful comics. I even printer out some of them to send to my cat-loving relatives.
Ours don’t like the hoover either
