It’s so good to have all of you back and making me smile out loud every Monday and Thursday. The sitter looks a lot like you – a family member or just another beautiful lady?
Awww…love it, I knew you would be here, I am an early bird, posted at the last strip at 5ish this a.m., that you possibly had overslept….and I’d check back later. Thanks for the smiles you give us.
…..and I do have a slate gray cat with emerald eyes (another rescue cat) that when she wants my attention, she will swipe at my ankles…..
I love the detail in your artwork! The kitties are fantastic and the storylines are hysterical, but then you stop back and look at the detail in the colors and the patterns on the clothes and the blankets and everything — just amazing! So glad that your back. Baby Gwen is beautiful!
How adorable is Lupin in panel 6 tipping his hat, and how brave of Elvis to defend the living room and so puffy he sticks out of the tower. Wasn’t your sister the intruder on the couch a while back? Thanks Georgia, just what I needed on another dreary day here in NJ.
I meant that to refer back to the “ankles need reinforcement” report, but I definitely need to go back and make it a bit more clear. Sorry for the confusion!
I say this and at first thought Puck came out to thank the intruder for topping off the food. Then I realized the intruder is wearing a dress and that was a panel from the ankle reinforcement strip!
No, I’m sorry! I’m afraid I might have to go and retouch that part up a bit, it comes across a bit confusing and that’s on me. I meant it to refer back to the “ankles need reinforcement” report, but I need something in that panel that makes it a wee bit more clear. (Some folks on the FB studio page have asked too).
I just updated panel 9! I’m sorry for the confusion before, and I like this graphic in the “telebox” way more! It seems like a flyer cats would hand out to newly adopted cats getting to know their People?
I loved panel 9 Elvis remembers ankle rubbing. Just yesterday I was thinking about it when Bixby, (one of the two cats that allows me to feed them) rubbed my ankle and then waited to hear, “Who’s a good boy? Brianna, (the other cat that allows me to feed her) took issue with that and swatted my ankle, sans claws. We missed you tremendously. Welcome back.
My mother-in-law is the designated “intruder” in our house whenever we go on vacation. It’s so much easier to relax when there is someone dependable and trustworthy to take care of the needs of our boys every day if we’re gone!
I so love this strip!! Thank you for loving the lads even more than me and thats a huge amount of love! Also, thank you for sharing them with us.
What a wonderful family all of you are. My 3 and me just melt whenever I see a new strip. Well, I do and I think they do because they all come sit on me, the computer and my hands, so if there are typos its because Mr. T or Tinker or Belle are trying to catch up on the latest Cat news. Hope all of you are doing as well as Lupin and I tip our collective hats to you!
Love it. Our boy cat, Earl Grey, salutes Aunt Gray for her compasionate intruderness. Lupin’s tip of the hat is perfect. We got the ankle reference just after Elvis made it.
Fortunately my son lives with me so he’s not an intruder and my daughter and her husband is here so often they are not considered intruders. My favorite panel is Lupin tipping his hat to Auntie Gray—so cute!
ELVIS! Fierce defender of Hearth and Home! Georgia, it took me a second, but then I realized that it was a CNN type split screen or visual overlay. Jon Stewart uses that effect a lot; it’s just delineated differently. Puffy Elvis in the last panel, and Lupin tipping his fedora, are priceless. JoAnn, yes, the detail is amazing. Georgia captures expression with such few strokes. And spend some time staring at the use of color and hue, such as in The Intruder’s skirt, how the drape of the fabric is defined. We could get lulled into thinking that the paintings are simple, but no way. (Did poor Puck ever come out from under the bed?)
Hi everyone! I just updated panel 9 in this strip, because the image of Pucky rubbing the ankle was really confusing. I went back to the “ankle reinforcement” graph from the Ankle Reinforcement report and used that image instead.
“You know sweetie” I said, “all the webcomics I read usually update around midnight so I can read them in the morning….except for one…which I can read at night…”
“THERE IS A NEW BREAKING CAT NEWS?!?!?! NO SPOILERS!” as the girlfriend runs to get her phone.
And here was I, considering my house the “unofficial” BCN Moscow bureau, with my Cobweb and Linnet (Elvis’ spiritual sister) local cub reporters! Now Aleksandra is posting you in Russian. Georgia, you really do have a world-wide following. Keep up the wonderful work.
What a wonderful strip! I thoroughly enjoy Elvis all poofed out and in the first frame his tail is quivering right on the tip! Puck is sweet as ever. He won’t let anyone”sit”on him!!! And Lupin, always the rational gentleman. I think I might be a tiny bit obsessed with BEN ! One thing is sure and that is I am glad you’re back!! ☺
This is one of my very favorite BCN broadcasts … I revisit it often. “sit on cats” breaks me up every time! When it first came out I immediately emailed the link to my cat sitter.
Aunt Gray!
Yes!!!!! 😀
I love these cameo appearances! They’re really fun for those of us that are “in the know.”
Your cats are too cute for words!
Aww. Too cute. A considerate intruder at least! I can guess where this is going.
Oh and, in deference to internet tradition: FIRST!
Sorry.
That may actually be the first “first” this site has seen.
Yeah, too bad it wasn’t actually first. 😉
In deference to internet tradition 😀
In my defence, I appeared to be first when I wrote that. Now I just need to find out who Aunt Grey is…
That is also part of internet tradition.
It’s so good to have all of you back and making me smile out loud every Monday and Thursday. The sitter looks a lot like you – a family member or just another beautiful lady?
Both!! I used my lovely sister for the sitter character! 😀
That is very clever. Did she actually sit for you?
She has sat for Elvis before, but not Puck and Lupin yet! (This was when Elvis was a kitten).
Adorable! How indeed can the Intruder know Elvis’s name? This must be investigated by the CN team!
I woke up to this
Panel 7 too adorable,
Poor Elvis in the last panel hehe
Yes yes, panel 7 is the BEST!! “Ma’am.” Heh!
Lupin tipping his hat! <3
I love the detail in your artwork! The kitties are fantastic and the storylines are hysterical, but then you stop back and look at the detail in the colors and the patterns on the clothes and the blankets and everything — just amazing! So glad that your back. Baby Gwen is beautiful!

Yes, she was! And you’re very welcome, Gloria!
Who’s legs in panel 9? What did I used to do on Mondays and Thursdays before BCN?
I meant that to refer back to the “ankles need reinforcement” report, but I definitely need to go back and make it a bit more clear. Sorry for the confusion!
I say this and at first thought Puck came out to thank the intruder for topping off the food. Then I realized the intruder is wearing a dress and that was a panel from the ankle reinforcement strip!
Oh yes I remember now. For a moment I thought it was a second mystery intruder and I’d missed something!!!
Great update – love it 🙂
So well done ! Auntie Gray, indeed. xoxo
What’s going on with the inset of Puck rubbing against a leg in panel 9? Are there two intruders?
No, I’m sorry! I’m afraid I might have to go and retouch that part up a bit, it comes across a bit confusing and that’s on me. I meant it to refer back to the “ankles need reinforcement” report, but I need something in that panel that makes it a wee bit more clear. (Some folks on the FB studio page have asked too).
If you just put a quick “Ankle Reinforcement” caption on top of that insert panel I think that’d do it.
Thank you, Matt!!
Could have a label “4 out of 5 doctors recommend ankle reinforcement”
I just updated panel 9! I’m sorry for the confusion before, and I like this graphic in the “telebox” way more! It seems like a flyer cats would hand out to newly adopted cats getting to know their People?

I adore how puffed up Elvis is in the last panel. 🙂 Glad to have the BCN crew back in action. And Congratulations again on the new baby.
Georgia, it’s so great to have you (and the boys) back! My husband I get so much pleasure from BCN, and we really missed it!
I so love this strip!! Thank you for loving the lads even more than me and thats a huge amount of love! Also, thank you for sharing them with us.

Puffy Elvis is back! Yay! I adore the last panel
Love the colander full of kibble 😀
AHHAHAHAHAhahahahaha too much awesomeness to detail, but I nearly snorted my drink at “here to sit on cats or words to that effect.” <3
Fortunately my son lives with me so he’s not an intruder and my daughter and her husband is here so often they are not considered intruders. My favorite panel is Lupin tipping his hat to Auntie Gray—so cute!
awww, Elvis is such a ladies man <3

(I meant “value and hue”. Sheesh.)
Giant puffball kitty who’s puffiness is being suppressed. YEEEES! I missed these.
Adorable. Elvis’ expressions are fantastic here, but my favorite bit is “This reporter will be under the bed”. So nice to have you and the boys back.
I’m soooo glad you all are back! I have missed the Boys.
Hi everyone! I just updated panel 9 in this strip, because the image of Pucky rubbing the ankle was really confusing. I went back to the “ankle reinforcement” graph from the Ankle Reinforcement report and used that image instead.
“sit on cats” LOL. I’m SO glad BCN is back.
Ооо, так чудесно снова их видеть! Не ожидала, что выпуски будут так часто. Спасибо вам!
Can’t stop giggling over Elvis poofing up in the last panel and freaking out about the “sitter on cats” knowing his name. Totally LOL worthy!
Just laughed very loudly at work. Got some looks. It was great!

Lol, I am a tiny bit obsessed with BCN, not BEN.
BEN…. Breaking Elvis News!
the love for your sister comes through very clearly in your art!
Kitties have been invaded by a beautiful fairytale princess!
“You must be Elvis” lol
I love it when Elvis puffs up!
This is one of my very favorite BCN broadcasts … I revisit it often. “sit on cats” breaks me up every time! When it first came out I immediately emailed the link to my cat sitter.
“CN News cupboard exclusive…” OMG, I’m dying!
