Ha ha ha ha ha ha xx Adorable! I’d never dress my cat but these are all so cute (as drawings)! I can’t decide which is cutest. Thank you for making me laugh out loud! I will be coming back to this one a lot!
Oh do I feel Puck’s pain. I’m a girl who, since I work in technology, is constantly referred to as if I am male. I like that Elvis has warmed up to the baby via shared experience!
I must admit, we have never dressed the boys up for Halloween in real life… I fear the real life wrath of real life Elvis if we were to try! However, I could not resist dressing them up here, if just once….
Hohhh hohhhh, Just Wonderful as Always! The disdainful Elvis, the indignant Lupin, the puzzled Puck, the baby’s accompanying wail…must and will, reread this one time and time again. Happy HowlingOWeen you all.
I feel like this is the Baby’s first moment of despair in his young life. His sigh is so deep. Georgia, you draw the effect of a sigh on a living being at the same level as Charles Schulz.
This one is an instant classic! I know it’s an affront to their dignity, but the boys look so adorable in their outfits. *pinches Puck’s fuzzy little cheeks*
Also, can confirm that Elvis’ reaction is typical of cats forced into bee costumes. Years ago, a dear friend stuffed his fat, fluffy calico into a schnauzer-sized bee costume for Halloween. She scuttled off and stuck her face in a corner in a clear “DON’T LOOK AT ME, I’M HIDEOUS!” attitude. When dragged from the corner for a photo op, she gave us this look that clearly said she had already booked our passage to Cat Owner Hell, where the two of us will scoop cat boxes and work in the litter mines until our sins are forgiven. (It was worth it.)
Our English Angora, Finley dressed up as a bumble bee this year. Cutest.Thing.Evar. This strip made me laugh and think of him, though he really loved it!
I actually do come and re-read this over and over again and still laugh just as hard as the first time. 😀 It’s heartbreakingly funny! I had a beautiful Maine Coon when I was in high school that I used to try to dress up in doll’s clothes–she loathed it, even if she did look precious.
At least Elvis can commiserate with the new baby.
Don’t you know? They always can. & vice versa.

Oh and I sooooo want a dragon Lupin! I
If they made plushies of these guys… That’s be too cool.

They’re even MORE cute in cartoon form knowing that, I do feel like most cats (especially Elvis-like cats) and costumes do not mix…
Drat! I was hoping to see the photos The Woman took. 🙁
Panel four, forgive me Elvis, but so funny x

Happy HowlingOWeen to you too, Lindy!!! 😀
I don’t care, I’m going back to Target and buy the little steampunk hats for the cats this weekend when they go on sale …
With those ears, I think Lupin would make a fantastic poodle moth.
Maybe the best one yet! Altho I tend to think that about each new one.
I only needed the first panel. It’s all I needed. The rest couldn’t live up to the first panel. I die happy now that I’ve seen that first panel.
the Elvis panel “this is animal cruelty” could be a poster on its own! terrific!
@D Scott Smith Seconded. I would so get that poster. I suspect if just that panel released, it would take FB by storm.
I can only hope that treats follow this mean trick!

Thank you, Jenna!
X’D I’m crying from laughing.
Poor Elvis! The POOR BABY!
Oh, this is too funny!
Happy Halloween to the Breaking Cat News anchor team and The People!
And Happy Halloween to you, sir!!!

HAHA!! “The litter mines…!” I love it!
I love every post, but I may have laughed the most ever at this one. Oh, the hilarious indignity.
Really good Halloween strip! I love all of your work but this one is hilarious. You draw their expressions really well.
pumpkin teacup, want one
this is most certainly favorite one lol I relate well – poor Gracie & Moki bore the brunt lol
CATBUG
That is all.
I AM CATBUG!!!!
This comic strip is brilliant. I’ve read them all multiple, multiple times.
“Bite Bite Bite Swipe Swipe Swipe”
Best reasons to never attempt cat costuming.
Yet more evidence of the difficulty in finding good staff.
You adopt these people, you try to show them the correct way of things & this is how they repay you. Typical.
Happy Hallow’s Eve, everyone!
Our English Angora, Finley dressed up as a bumble bee this year. Cutest.Thing.Evar. This strip made me laugh and think of him, though he really loved it!
Oh! That look on Lupin’s face in the first panel! It is too precious!
I love how Lupin is most upset that the costumes don’t follow a theme.
I love the commiseration between cats and baby. And Elvis batting at his antennae!!
This may be my favorite comic strip of all time. You are brilliant. And the cats and baby are the cutest ever in their costumes.
I actually do come and re-read this over and over again and still laugh just as hard as the first time. 😀 It’s heartbreakingly funny! I had a beautiful Maine Coon when I was in high school that I used to try to dress up in doll’s clothes–she loathed it, even if she did look precious.
The boys did not comment on the Woman’s costume. Right now, they probably think that she really is a witch.
Baby’s sigh spoke volumes.
No animals were harmed in the making of this strip, but three cats were humiliated beyond belief….
