She looks an awful lot like my late boy Madison. (his mother was a show Persian who snuck out at the “wrong” time.) Lupin holding Elvis back is great! I can’t wait to learn more about the new member of the ‘family’.
New kitty! And an orange tabby, to boot! The last panel of Lupin and Elvis is priceless. I’m sure that Tommy, being Tommy, will be rubbing noses with the new guy while Elvis goes bonkers at the window. This should be fun!
Kittehs of that coloring are usually male, and very, very special. At my house, they always have nicknames of Boy and Bad Bob. And the last panel is great. Elvis’s ears! And we’ve never seen Tommy not grinning from ear to ear!
The new cat is just stunning, so handsome and beautifully drawn, but i can’t stop looking at Elvis in the last panel, LOL.
And then there’s Lupin, his expression barely changes but i can hear him going ‘Keep calm! No sudden moves and maybe Elvis wont flip out!’
And of course we can’t forget Tommy <3 must admit i give a extra Yayy when he turns up π
Hmm, no Puck… is he off trying to find unguarded bacon?
Oh my goodness what a beautiful kitty! is he scottish? I initially thought it was the Beloved Sophie. Will it be continued today? I can’t wait, questions, questions, someone hold me back, Lupin. π
Love the flask, love the picnic rug and cup, love the outdoor clothes and the beautiful ginger colour of the new kitty ……. and Elvis’s expression in the last panel ……. just when things were getting back to normal at the news desk hee hee!
A few things I noticed: Tommy doesn’t seem his happy go lucky self and even his outfit is less flamboyant than usual. He has definitely become one of the crew and it’s clear that he is a bit apprehensive about the new kitty. It’s so funny that he used to be the one Elvis got “big fur” over and now he’s one of the kitties trying to calm him down lol. And I love Lupin’s tail in the first panel. I know there has to be some significance to that..lol..And last but not least, I’ve noticed that while my friends are watching their favorite daytime soaps and are addicted to the drama, BCN is my favorite soap..lol. I love Elvis’s whole look in the last panel..can’t wait to see what happens next π
While I agree with everyone on the awesomeness of Elvis’ last expression… I somehow can’t stop going back to look at him in the second panel, with that as-yet calm raised eyebrow… Love it! And I can’t even figure out what to think about semi-serious Tommy! But what a gorgeous beard our newbie has! Can’t stop hearing Monty Python’s lumberjack song in my head now…
I love this strip! The look on Elvis is priceless, and Tommy not having a huge smile even has me shocked. For some reason, I picture the new cat having an Irish or Scottish accent in my mind. Can’t wait to see the next strip!
Love the handsome outdoorsman, are he and Tommy sharing a wardrobe? His slacks are the same color as Tommy’s jacket or just a coincindence? Love Lupin holding Elvis back. Hope Puck finally got some bacon, or maybe he is transcribing more of Lupin’s jingles, tee hee.
We had a great looking stranger in our backyard for the past couple of years. All black, just like our Gus, but with three white paws. He was finally getting used to us enough that he wouldn’t run away until we got up close. Now he’s vanished, and Gus is so lonely. He’s needed a lot of love and attention the last couple of weeks. I have a terrible feeling that our beautiful stranger fell victim to a passing motorist.
An interesting new twist to the plot line.
Congratulations, Georgia on the wonderful article in URI’s alumni magazine. I’m so happy to see you get recognition for your wonderful talent.
Love the raised eyebrow in the second panel! And fall…I love fall too. But now we have to wait until next week to learn more about the visitor? Oh, no, the weekend will seem like it lasts forever! π Thank you for all you do – always makes my day to see a new Breaking Cat News!
Ohhhhhh!!! A big orinch boy! (Reminds me of my precious Rambo) Orinch fur, tartan thermos, laid back attitude, a cup of tea (definitely not coffee), and methinks there is a visitor from “across the pond”. He’s simply gorgeous. π
Another wonderful show stopper Georgia! Keep us all on edge until Monday. Yellow cats are indeed the best, and many of them are girls. We have had several yellow mom cats at the shelter this year with both girl and boy yellow kittens. I will agree that the yellows are generally boys.
You are amazing!
I’m surprised you didn’t introduce another girl cat – though I suppose since its based on a real cat you wanted to keep it “true to life” π
I’ve not met many girl cats who are totally ginger, but a lot of girl ginger/whites. My own girl is a beautiful tortoiseshell/white/ginger!
Can’t wait to see what happens:)
Perhaps Tommy’s woman just got this new guy or is “sitting on cats” for a friend and the new guy is being a big pain, which is why Tommy is not as happy as usual. or also wondering if the new guy is Puck’s turn at an adventure?? Are we getting close Georgia?
I have a very petite ginger cat, who I call my forever kitten. Her name….Goldee, her eyes are so gold colored as is her fur. She is also one of my rescue cats.
I love the continuing stories….keep them coming. Am I assuming this is about shelter cats?
The shelter cats comic–I hope, fingers crossed, everyone please think good thoughts that I can get it finished!–is going to be an extra report (a special report!) and hopefully happen sometime in the mid to end of September! π
We had our own “trespass” this morning. I sat out with my coffe to find a dark grey face staring at me over the porch stairs. He/she ran away before our two Siamese could sound an alarm.
love how he’s all settled in with his own cup of ( coffee tea or hot coco ) and rug ( blanket )
such a flooflee face and tail. he looks so happy and content.
elvis is all ” yes yes old news lets move it along shall we”
till the last panel after seeing the live feed from the garden. what a face! elvis lighten up or you will miss out on all the new fun.
Ha! That look on the face of Elvis is priceless!
But hey, at least Tommy have a company now, not all alone out there.
GASP!
Love Elvis’ “oh it is ON” face in last panel.
*GASP*
“Hold me back, Lupe. Hold me BACK.”
Oohhhh, To Be Continued indeed! Is this new gal (my guess based on the lashes) based on a real kitty like all the others?
This kitty is real too, yes! I will have more to share as we get to know… Him!
Yep–ginger cats are mostly (by about 3:1) male.
Oh, those are typical “long-hair-cat” loooong eyebrow whiskers. They can get so very looooooooong.
Ohhhh a beautiful stranger in the back yard.
Ooh, a mysterious gingerβ¦!
Another fluffy. I love it.
She looks an awful lot like my late boy Madison. (his mother was a show Persian who snuck out at the “wrong” time.) Lupin holding Elvis back is great! I can’t wait to learn more about the new member of the ‘family’.
Awww, we had a cat named Madison, a maine coon, Fluffy golden fur…
All the family loved him, sadly, he died last year, Madison is a great fluffy cat name…
sorry if I made you sad. I miss Madison
Aw, I’m sorry Cassie π I hope this new fellow in the comic can bring you a smile whenever he pops up!
Hold him back, Lupin!
New kitty! And an orange tabby, to boot! The last panel of Lupin and Elvis is priceless. I’m sure that Tommy, being Tommy, will be rubbing noses with the new guy while Elvis goes bonkers at the window. This should be fun!
Love that Tommy got the scoop!
Here we go again!
Ooo, the calmly smiling, rugged & red-haired outdoorsman! So suave with his hot drink. I’m half in love already.
She’s beautiful!
Kittehs of that coloring are usually male, and very, very special. At my house, they always have nicknames of Boy and Bad Bob. And the last panel is great. Elvis’s ears! And we’ve never seen Tommy not grinning from ear to ear!
He looks content enjoying his cup of coffee. This is going to be fun!

“YOU DON’T LIVE HERE!”
*holds up a sign “Go Tommy!”*
Where’s Puck???
A few things I noticed: Tommy doesn’t seem his happy go lucky self and even his outfit is less flamboyant than usual. I think Tommy is wearing a jacket over his normal Hawaiian shirt, because of the fall weather.
Yes!! I am officially imposing fall on the comic, haha! It’s how I’m coping with our New England heat wave π
I love fall!!!
Yes!! BCN is totally my soap! My hubby thinks I’m crazy when it’s the first thing I check when I log into my laptop in the morning, haha! π
Dun dun DUN!
What a beautiful new visitor!
Oh my, a new cat. Who is this handsome stranger, and why are they there? Looking foward to the continuation π
While I agree with everyone on the awesomeness of Elvis’ last expression… I somehow can’t stop going back to look at him in the second panel, with that as-yet calm raised eyebrow… Love it! So I wasn’t the only one who looked at the new cat and thought “Scotsman”, cool. He looks like a Jock or a Hamish. He is definitely a beautiful boy.
I love Elvis’ ears.
It’s because he has his Tartan Thermos next to him!
Are you bringing a Scottish fold into the Group?
What is the pretty new kitty sitting on? Under the picnic blanket?
It’s meant to be a stone wall. π
I find it hilarious that Tommy swears it isn’t him… when he’s there too.
We had a great looking stranger in our backyard for the past couple of years. All black, just like our Gus, but with three white paws. Georgia, what’s her name?
So, who is this dapper gentleman?
Oooo….a new kitty! Do tell us more about this new friend, Georgia! Stray? Visitor? Love the rest as always!
An interesting new twist to the plot line.
Congratulations, Georgia on the wonderful article in URI’s alumni magazine. I’m so happy to see you get recognition for your wonderful talent.
Thank you, Elaine!!
Where’s my PUCK!! (Napping in his cosy window seat?)
Haha!! He very well may be!
With Buzzy Mouse beside him…buzzing in harmony to Puck’s snores…..
Pretty marmalade!
Love the raised eyebrow in the second panel! And fall…I love fall too. But now we have to wait until next week to learn more about the visitor? Oh, no, the weekend will seem like it lasts forever! π Thank you for all you do – always makes my day to see a new Breaking Cat News!
I just realized, Elivs wears suspenders. (that explains so much)
Wonder if he -also- wears a belt. π
He does have a kindo of Larry King demeanor, haha!
Wow! Short – but alarming! Poor Elvis looks like he’s about to explode! Missing Pucky, though….
Calmly lying on the table, with his own cup and thermos! Awesome. And Elvis is held back by Lupin. XD
I have any orange kitty named Pumpkin Cat, and SHE is awesome. It can happen. Just not often.
I also had a very clever ginger/orange /marmalade girl cat called Molly – very outdoor-sy and independent. Loved her to bits.
I know it’s not intentional since, as you say, it’s based on a real cat, but that cat reminds me of one of the ones in Neko Atsume.
This one: https://welcometowonderland.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/34-yamaneko-neko-atsume.png
(Who I have named Gandalf in my game, cause he looks like a travelling wizard out on adventure…um…if you care. *runs).
AWWW!! I love that–and I see what you mean!
I named the big fat kitty who steals all the food Catsputin. I love him….
I had a Thermos exactly like that one and a matching plaid metal lunch box when I was in about 4th or 5th grade!
Oh..tell me it’s a girl cat..Please,please,please
The “new guy” looks like a total Ron Swanson-esque beefcake!
It certainly looks like Elvis is “all shook up”.
Ohhhhhh!!! A big orinch boy! (Reminds me of my precious Rambo) Orinch fur, tartan thermos, laid back attitude, a cup of tea (definitely not coffee), and methinks there is a visitor from “across the pond”. He’s simply gorgeous. π

Wonderful! I love red tabbies. Is he/she a Maine Coon?
She’s a pretty kitty!
He looks like my lovely long-haired Lionel.
I did not expect that!!!!! The last panel is so funny!!!!!!
I have a very petite ginger cat, who I call my forever kitten. Her name….Goldee, her eyes are so gold colored as is her fur. She is also one of my rescue cats.

Love Elvis’ protection mode. π
