Elvis is SO upset, awww! Good luck on the move to Seattle, Georgia–is it a permanent move? I hope the cats will take well to the journey–I’m sure they miss Seattle. ๐
Have a safe move Georgia. The boys must be getting use to moving. ๐
I will be checking your Facebook page for updates. ๐
Look forward to when you are settled and back.
I love Puck & Lupin’s vacation attire. Wonder if Elvis will ever relax during this vacation and select some vacation attire. Also, love how Lupin call Elvis a goofball!! Best of luck and safe travels to the Emerald City.
Only Beatrix could get away with a paw overy Elvis’s mouth. I love it!
Not looking forward to the “station break”, but completely understand it and am already looking forward to new material when evertrying is back up and running.
Have a wonderful and smooth move! Touch base when you can. We’ll miss you and we’ll be here when you get back!
Some much to love today! Beatrix’s polydactyl paws, Puck’s Hawaiian shirt and lei, Lupin’s swim goggles, Elvis’s outrage and the thought of all the boys on a Road Trip!
Today begins the โBreaking Cat Newsโ break as The Man and I and the kids and the cats move back to the Seattle area and then I work on strips to get the comic ready for newspapers! GoComics will run the archives during the break, starting possibly on Monday or at least within the next week!
I know you will be super busy duringthe move and all but I hope there will be a few drawings or tweets of cat road trip. Haha I am just having so much fun imagining it. I hope Tommy goes on the trip too, annoying Elvis by taking pics of everything and buying tacky souvenirs. Maybe they will go see the world’s largest ball of twine?
Safe Travels to all. I will be looking forward to the archives, reliving the memories. That being said, I will start a count-down clock for the New Season (just like network TV โComing Soon!โ
Chin Scritches to the BCN team.
I love the robber mice holding their little bags asking if the station will be empty during the break and Agnes still with her tiny mike. Maybe there can be an episode of breaking mouse news during the break. :). I am not sure what Elvis is more upset about, the station break or the idea of Our IX Lives episodes running during that time.
I cannot get today’s comic to appear on my android or my l-phone. I really miss it! Any idea’s how I can correct this? If the other comments hadn’t referred to today’s strip I would have thought your break was starting today.
Possible overload on this site due to hordes of fans though I suspect server trouble. Perhaps they have their own robber mice? Anyway, you can see it at gocomics. I think there’s a link in the right side of this page. Come back for the comments! (Maybe B’s many legged friend with a zillion eyes has escapes from the bookstore and got into the server?)
Y’all have a safe move! I’m sure you are experts by now. ๐ We will greatly miss the daily BCN, but know it is necessary. At least we still get to enjoy the archives. Your comics have become a big part of our daily routine around here!
I just love Burt. He makes me think of my orange outdoor “barn kitty,” Levi.
I hope you and your family has fun on the trip! Drive safely! And may the adventure build beautiful memories as well as inspire new strip ideas! Enjoy!
Happy journey to you and your family (furred and otherwise). I shall miss you while you are away, but I shall revel in the archives and look forward to new strips. Thoughts and prayers for a safe trip. Be well! ~ Victoria
Captain Gus, Mr. Blue, Fancy, Chessy, Dottie, Sweetie, Guy, and Trixie (our gang here at home) along with me, wish you a safe and happy journey. As one who has moved long distances with our fur children, we wish you all the best. Here’s something to think about on your trip. Maybe an animated special? Since you have published the book, your audience has no doubt expanded. I think BCN would translate very well to animation. Especially using your rich colors and style of the strip. After all, who heard of Olive the Other Reindeer before the TV “classic” which is now run every year? We think the story arc wherein Tommy is introduced would be perfect! The epic of the Golden Mouse would be equally so. Does anyone else feel similarly? Anyway Georgia, safe journey and we await your return.
I hope all goes well and you can enjoy the trip. My son always fell asleep in the car but I know that’s not the usual. audio books and games help. Find a red barn etc. the reporters are old hands at traveling by now. I am sure they are looking for new material! Safe travels to all of you & best of luck getting things ready for the 1st “pitch”. We will miss you but I think this feels like going home for your family which is nice.
Have you changed the format in which you post? The last week or two, the comics have either been loading extremely slowly for me, or not at all. The rest of the site loads fine; just not the comics. I don’t know if anyone else has been having this problem, but I thought I’d try to find out what might be the cause, or at least let you know it exists.
Safe trip to you and your family, Georgia! I hope the move goes smoothly and with minimal stress. I’m sure the cats will be a little upset about the move, but that’s the way cats are. Looking forward to seeing the new digs for BCN! ๐
Safe travels! Pleased to have you coming back to the area; when you’re here I recommend to stop at a place called “Third Place Books” in the Lake Forest Park area. That’s where I bought your book ๐
Also, to Linda, have you tried the GoComics app? I sometimes have better luck with loading it there.
May this move be to YOUR forever home! (I figured a cat lover would ‘get’ that!) You’ve packed/unpacked enough the past few years!! I’m with Elvis on the break attitude, but I totally understand and can’t wait for newspapers to have BCN! It’ll be nice to visit the archives via gocomics!!
Happy (temporary) trails and tails to you and your family!
I never noticed before that Elvis has such an expressive tail! I love Puck’s hat. I had one just like it when I was a kid. Speaking of Puck, I loved your Instagram picture of puck in the black bag. Has he been taking invisibility lessons from Lupin?
Safe travels and easy transitions for all involved in the move. As Roy Rogers and Dale Evans used to sing, “Happy trails to you, ’till we meet again!” I’ll try to “keep smiling until then.”
Hi, Linda. You can see Breaking Cat News on gocomics.com.
Georgia gets paid for us to look at it on the GoComics site, whereas she does not when we view it here. GoComics can also support higher traffic than this one. I suspect we all sometimes have trouble getting it to load on this site simply because it cannot handle the much higher traffic BCN is experiencing!
I wouldn’t say you’re an “old hand” at packing and moving but you’ll be better prepared this time. Plus the distance isn’t as great and the entire family will be together through this. I’ll be waiting with bated breath for the strip’s return later.
I hope we get to read about the Boys’ vacation in the strips when you return. I’m sure there will be plenty of fodder of their experiences on the trip to write about. I hope everything goes smoothly for all of you! Safe journeying, Georgia!๐
Georgia – I just saw on your Twitter page that today (Saturday) is yours and The Man’s 5th wedding anniversary! Much congratulations to the both of you! Your wedding pictures are beautiful! Have a safe journey back to the Northwest!
Nice to see Beatrix give Elvis an admonitory whack. I’m suffering from serious withdrawal. I need reruns now. Otherwise I may be forced into antisocial behavior.
Congrats on another successful relocation — that everyone arrived safe & the cats weren’t stressed (even Elvis looked OK). I’m enjoying the BCN “beginnings” via your book. I can’t wait for the book’s sequel๐ป๐ป And I’m looking forward to the new, daily strips to begin again. Take your time getting situated in the new neighborhood – have Beatrix tweet about station upgrades when she can.
I am so missing new installments of BCN!
But I do hope your preparations for newspaper are going well and that you have settled in to your new place!
Will Beatrix or Burt be sending out emails when they are back on air?
I do check back on here just to see if there is any news in the comments, as I do not have a Facebook or Twitter account.
Tina, I have Twitter only so I can see the tweets from pseudooctopus (a/k/a Georgia). The boys are settling in, and Lupin’s been busy helping get the Halloween decorations unpacked.
We’re all missing the reports from the BCN studios; I for one am fairly confident they’ll resume.
NickiB: see the Twitter link atop this page. The BCN twitter finally updated 9/16; also, search “Georgia Dunn” inside Twitter for more news. I just google “Instagram breaking cat news” to see the photos. Both Twitter and Instagram invite me to open an account, I’m ignoring them.
Thanks, Ruth! I will have to give it a look then. I thought I had to have an account to be able to see content on either of those sites. Have a good week!
Georgia – Hoping you will hurry back! I know you are desperately busy and totally understand your need to sort through your professional life and getting BCN into the newspapers but I can still miss you, can’t I? GoComics just doesn’t seem to have the excitement – I know – all good things must come to an end – your fault – you spoiled us. : ) July Bug is on today – I almost cried but he’s too funny for tears. Again, I wish you the best of luck for the comic pages. Can’t come soon enough.
I was updating my Patreon pledges and Breaking Cat News is not on the site. I recommend you try it out. https://www.patreon.com
I’m not sure of the process to get on but since the site takes a little cut from the pledges I imagine it’s free on your end. Based on the donation totals listed the artists and podcasters I support are not living off the proceeds but it looks to be enough to help out on supply costs.
Hi! When the comic launches into papers sometime this winter or spring, that’s when there will be new strips. I don’t have a specific date yet, but when I do I will share it.
Silly magpie ! Creator apathy is the absolute opposite of what I think is going on. Georgia is furiously working to get strips ready to pitch to newspapers, and in other ways trying to obtain some richly deserved compensation. We have been absolutely spoiled by this extremely great, extremely free content. This very talented young artist has one husband, two kids, and three cats, plus herself, to take care of, just moved for the second time in a year, and if this strip does not get picked up, it may be the last broadcast of BCN. That would be a terrible loss for all of us, and we can help by: shopping Zazzle for the occasional BCN holiday card or clothing and mugs, shamelessly recommending the strip to anyone who will stand still, giving the book compilation as gifts to our cat loving friends, maybe buying some of her framed prints (all types) and easiest of all, just be patient and keep silently the posting for her. She has built a little community here, of like-minded people, and I would find it a great loss if that folded. If there was a Patreon site or other means of donating, I would be there.
Patience is a virtue. ๐ I am so happy to know that things are moving forward towards syndication for BCN and Georgia. I sure miss the new comics, but I adore the old strips just as much. I catch new things I hadn’t seen before in them all the time. ๐
I also had some worries . . . because I do worry, that’s my nature. And while I’m enjoying seeing the wonderful old panels, I’m really looking forward to the new stories when they are ready.
@Duke Nukem
Read the posts above. Nothing has died. Georgia is preparing strips for print syndication to start sometime after the first of the year. They will run here as well. Meanwhile, we get the classics on GoComics. Be patient.
Hear hear, Martha! Very well said!
Still loving my daily dose of BCN on GoComics. The gang is still around ๐ธ
Another way we can help in our support is by reading Breaking Cat News every day on GoComics.com, or on their app, as Georgia gets a commission from people reading it there.
Hope all is going well and y’all are settled in nicely!
Happy Halloween ๐ป
Oh. My. Cat. The free stuff – the one of the boys as Christmas ornaments. Utterly beyond price. Georgia, if you ever make them as real ornaments, I will buy them!
To duke nukem I say, nope, nothing died. You can do your little part to keep it alive, though. Georgia Dunn owes us nothing, nothing at all, but we owe her a little positive support and encouragement. Check out her stuff on etsy, zazzle, and GoComics, where her book is available and makes a great gift. When the strips are pitched to papers you may get a chance to vote for them (my local paper runs new strips for a week or two in sequence and we can vote for the ones we like ). Please do so, if you love them as much as many people do. If nothing else, please check out the GoComics site, which is running her strips from start to finish, and gives her a tiny little bit of eraser money. I love seeing the evolution of the artwork and the developing characters.
@foxygamer9 Georgia told us in one of her comments above: “Hi! When the comic launches into papers sometime this winter or spring, thatโs when there will be new strips. I donโt have a specific date yet, but when I do I will share it.”
I am so excited to find out that Breaking Cat News will be coming to PRINT!!! Georgia announced yesterday on Instagram that BCN is going to be picked up!!! Keep your eyes peeled for information about how we can support her by letting the newspapers know we want to see BCN!
I tried to share this news here earlier today, but Toddler managed to somehow lock up my laptop and Man fixed it. (The boys have taught Toddler well, apparently!)
Yesterday was the sales meeting to pitch ‘Breaking Cat News.’ My amazing editor was given the task of presenting the comic to the Universal Uclick sales team. They are the newspaper part of GoComics, and syndicate strips like ‘Calvin and Hobbes,’ ‘Garfield,’ ‘Peanuts,’ ‘Phoebe and Her Unicorn,’ and ‘Foxtrot.’ You know Universal Uclick, even if you don’t know you know them. They have given you a lot of great comics over the years!
Armed with a power point presentation, the testimonials you shared, a stack of sales kits with six weeks of strips, and a knit hat with cat ears, (Have I mentioned she is amazing?) she told them about the comic and the characters. She told them about me and about you, and that you all seem to enjoy the strip! She shared the words of praise many of you wrote and shared a couple of months ago. I’m told the president of the company–who is also a fellow BCN fan–chimed in that he preferred to call this presentation the ‘sales kitten’ rather than the ‘sales kit.’ (Have I mentioned how much I love working with them??)
What was the outcome? Well…
‘BREAKING CAT NEWS’ IS GOING TO BE ONE OF THEIR NEW NEWSPAPERS COMICS IN EARLY 2017!!!! WE KNEW THIS, BUT I CAN FINALLY SAY IT AND WITH CERTAINTY!! YES!! IT IS GOING INTO NEWSPAPERS SOMETIME AROUND THE LAST WEEK OF MARCH/FIRST WEEK OF APRIL!!
NOT A DRILL! REALLY HAPPENING!!! AS LUPIN WOULD SAY, REALZIES, NOT JOKIES!
How you can help:
The Universal/Uclick sales people still hit the road and talk in person to newspaper editors. (Isn’t that awesome? I love that! I like that some things are still done face to face). They are preparing to begin their sales trips to peddle all the new comics shortly! Very soon I will be humbly asking if readers would consider emailing a few key newspapers to tell editors about ‘Breaking Cat News.’ If BCN can get into these papers in particular, it will give the comic a strong start and a better chance of getting picked up by papers all across the country! An email, a letter, a tweet–any sort of message to let them know how you feel about ‘Breaking Cat News’ and why you’d like to see the comic in papers every day!
If papers suddenly have an influx of friendly, excited emails coming in about ‘Breaking Cat News,’ our chances of getting picked up will be better. I would love to get the comic into as many papers as possible! TO DELIVER CAT NEWS TO EVERYONE!
I should know more some time in the next two weeks. In the meantime, if you want to email/write your local newspaper right now, that would be AMAZING and I would consider it a big favor!
Thank you so much for your patience, your support, your kind words, and all you have done to help me make this dream come true. I’ve always tried to share as many “behind the scenes” glimpses as I can, and this is one more huge, amazing hurdle cleared!
So… LET’S GET ‘BREAKING CAT NEWS’ INTO A BUNCH OF REAL DEAL ACTUAL NEWSPAPERS! AHHHHHHH!!!
I wish there were a like/love button – I would click it many, many times! Congratulations to you, the boys, and all the other reporters and support staff!
That’s wonderful news, Georgia. I am so happy for you, your family, and your sweet fur boys!
Timing is everything. Is it too early to start bombarding our newspapers, or is it a case of request BCN early, request BCN often? I’m within the delivery area of three newspapers. I have e-subscriptions to two of them. If I get a good offer on the third one, I’ll sign up. I think they pay closer attention to requests from actual subscribers.
Will you be able to post the new comics here? If not, I hope you will at least keep this site up for the archive. Even though I check the reruns on GoComics, I like the way I can come here and hit the “random” link and be surprised by what comes up. It’s also easier to find where your series begin on this site than it is on GoComics. And I love, love, love all the bonus stuff! Meanwhile, I’m eagerly awaiting the calendar and hoping that volume 2 of the BCN book will be available soon.
Thank you, Sue Ellen! This is a good time to start! Some of this had been in the works for a little bit, but I wasn’t able to announce details until now and like you say, timing was a huge part of that!
I will always have this site operating–honestly, I am not sure if I can keep posting them here. And not because it would interfere with GoComics, I am allowed to in my contact with them. It’s more that this site crashes when I put up something new now, which is a great problem to have–but still a problem. The Man has suggested that possibly we keep the site as it is now, but the new comic page would immediately go to GoComics, to take advantage of their server power. Very soon their site is getting a really gorgeous redesign, and they will be capable of showing the comic larger and in more detail than this site is capable of. These are all the things to consider as I try to figure that bit out. However, the archives, the comments here, all of that are definitely staying! We have such a wonderful community here. It is my hope that this community and the GoComics community that has built up around their site will all come together in one place someday, but we will always want to have this site running where many of us “met”, so to speak? That’s how I think of it, anyway. And I want to add to the freebie page and have other fun things here one day too! Had two cross country moves not taken over 2016, there would already be more of that!
Thank you for asking these questions Sue Ellen, and giving me a chance to put this information out there, because I know other people are probably wondering too!
Georgia, it is so unfortunate that after the election was over, a lot of newspapers lost their credibility and subscribers. About the only things left that people read are the comics and sports pages. I bought your first book when it first went on sale and still read it once in a while when I need a laugh-please think seriously about coming out with a second, and third, book.
BTW: I have six cats, one a female just like ELVIS, who hates people and even nips me. Another is like TOMMY, a big, overweight but very friendly male furball. The others are just plain, lovable, playful housecats, three females, one male, that make this house a home since I lost my wife of 56 years last February. GOD BLESS YOU, YOUR FAMILY & THE BOYS
Thank you so much, Joseph! I hope very much that there will be more books myself. I am optimistic that there will be, but have not heard anything for certain yet. I love that you have your own versions of Elvis and Tommy interacting their own stories in your home! I’m sorry to hear of your wife’s passing. I pray the Man and I both live to have 56 years together, what a beautiful thing to share. I hope she would have enjoyed this comic, and that it gives you a lot of smiles and laughs now. Cats do so much to make a house a home, and the person who loves them does the same for them. ๐
Ahhhhhh, screaming in happiness. Tears welling in my eyes , YOU DID IT !!!
I will so write, email, whatever. Eagerly awaiting marching orders. Anything to avoid mentioning-like, ok to mention that I follow it on line, or might that be seen as undercutting a potential fan base ?
Thank you, Martha so very much!! I think that is still good to mention, hopefully they will gain some readers from the online world if the comic joins their pages? I think that would be my hope if I heard that as an editor. (It’s my hope just as a cartoonist, ha!)
Thank you, Denny!! My current three current “Oh, I hope, I hope!” papers are: The Seattle Times, the Providence Journal, and the Westerly Sun.
The Westerly Sun is my hometown paper back in Rhode Island. The Providence Journal is Rhode Island’s main newspaper, and The Seattle Times it goes without saying–I want so much to make it here in our chosen-home paper!
Fingers crossed any of them come through! Thank you so much for writing the Seattle Times!
I ordered another copy of the book (this makes about 10 so far) that I will send to my local newspaper when it arrives. If anyone else does this, MAKE SURE you put in a note saying that, when BCN is syndicated, it will be available in standard newspaper comic strip format. I’m hoping that if enough fans make enough noise well in advance that the newspapers might be impressed to add BCN to their comics pages.
Georgia, that is fantastic news. I will be sending an email to my hometown paper, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, and where I work in DC, the Washington Post.
Congratulations again. You and your family deserve the best
Great news, Georgia! I’ll try to find out if BCN can become international by being added to our local English-language paper, the Montreal Gazette. I’ve been missing having new strips to savour, especially as my mother died 2 days after your last strip and BCN is always so gentle and caring, I think it would be a great comfort to me now. But I’m coming here daily and hitting the “random” button several times in a row, to get a BCN “hit” that way, which helps….
I’m so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing, Alison. I’m glad that the comic has been a comfort right now. I have been told that the comic will be available for newspapers in Canada too, so hopefully you will see it there in time, too!
Thanks Georgia, I had 57 years on the planet before losing my mother but it’s still a big shock to live in a world where she isn’t; happens to all of us (if we’re lucky, when you think about it), but hard to experience. As I said, BCN has helped so much, and now with the realworld stuff going on it’s even more important to have an oasis, among many oases (is that the spelling?), to help us refresh our spirits and vow to keep moving forward, even if it feels like 1 step forward 2 steps back. And my mother *loved* the BCN book that I gave her for her 85th birthday, and her housemate has vowed to pass it on to cat-people friends on and on and on – folks too old and poor to buy it for themselves, but who will truly love and cherish your work. I just wanted to let you know that, how your work does such good and gives such joy in the world. Thank you, again.
I look forward to the antics of Elvis, Puck, Lupin, and Tommy every day. I need the laugh. In less than one month I lost my lovely girl Maggie the Cat and my darling boy Ozzie. He was the light of my life, the heart of my heart. Both are missed by all who knew and loved them. Still at home, are Chewie and Stubby Kay. Keep the giggles coming, please!
I’m so sorry, Catte! I hope the daily strips will be a great joy to you when they begin! (About March ish… with a few surprises before then! Surprises so soon!)
I’m so thrilled at all the wonderful things that are happening towards syndication for you Georgia! ๐ And I’m happy and relieved to know this site and all its comments will remain . . . there really is no place on the internet like this. We’re all like a family connected by our love of cats and this comic. ๐
Good luck on your move. My family, including our 4 rescue cats; Mittens, Giblet, McKayla and Joel Grey (guess what color he is) will miss you and look forward to your returning. By the way, my wife is going to have a BCN Christmas.
Speaking of “surprises before then”–a *brand-new* strip today (Mon, 28 Nov) on GoComics! Presumably to show us the new layout and format. Lookin’ good!
I recently came across this site and I love it! I would love to read more about “Gatos de Noticias” do you speak Spanish or have a Spanish writer? I am a Spanish writer so I would love to read more!
Happy moving, Georgia and family!
I’d love to see that road trip! All the best for your move – Georgia, Ryan, kids and kitties! Looking forward to a triumphant return of BCN. ๐
Road trips are the best. I love driving everywhere and seeing new things.
Including the Mutara nebula or…?
Especially in pursuit of all my arch-nemesis
Have a safe trip!!
see everyone later this fall. wishing you all the best and safe travels.
you’ll be missed and in our thoughts. many hugs to you all Georgia.
Best of luck with your move, Georgia! Looking forward to hearing from BCN again from its new station in Washington! ๐
Georgia, Its always good to be home. I’m happy for you and the BCN gang. We will miss you.
I love Puck & Lupin’s vacation attire. Wonder if Elvis will ever relax during this vacation and select some vacation attire. Also, love how Lupin call Elvis a goofball!! Best of luck and safe travels to the Emerald City.
Have a safe trip, Georgia. We look forward to seeing everyone after the station break! Good luck with the move!
I hope everyone has a fun vacation! Does anyone know when the broadcasts will be back to normal?
*sniff*
Moving’s a pain but it’s always a wonderful new adventure, too. Be safe and have a great relocation trip!
Some much to love today! Beatrix’s polydactyl paws, Puck’s Hawaiian shirt and lei, Lupin’s swim goggles, Elvis’s outrage and the thought of all the boys on a Road Trip!
I’m not sure which I love more – Hawaiian Puck, Road Trip Lupin, or Indignant Elvis! All the best with your move, Georgia & Crew!
Aw,man!Station Break? Well,I hope Lupin,Puck,Elvis, and everyone else have a nice trip.
Today begins the โBreaking Cat Newsโ break as The Man and I and the kids and the cats move back to the Seattle area and then I work on strips to get the comic ready for newspapers! GoComics will run the archives during the break, starting possibly on Monday or at least within the next week!
To quote Beatrix, โSee you soon, everyone!โ
Best of luck with the move and with pitching the comic to the newspapers.
Safe move back to Seattle, Georgia & family!
I hope the mice restrain themselves and leave at least some things behind for when the boys return!
Safe trip and smooth sailing for you and your family. We will be anxiously awaiting your return. Very good luck with the newspapers.
Love the Robber Mice. Ready with their bags to take whatever is not nailed down.

I just love Burt. He makes me think of my orange outdoor “barn kitty,” Levi.
Have fun! Best of luck to you!
Perfect strip to take us into the break. Good luck with the move!
Happy moving!
and sorry, robber mice they’ve got an alarm.
I hope you and your family has fun on the trip! Drive safely! And may the adventure build beautiful memories as well as inspire new strip ideas! Enjoy!
We’ll enjoy the “reruns,” and happy landings!
Safe travels, Georgia, Ryan, Luke, Gwen, Elvis, Puck, Lupin and Buzzy Mouse!
Happy journey to you and your family (furred and otherwise). I shall miss you while you are away, but I shall revel in the archives and look forward to new strips. Thoughts and prayers for a safe trip. Be well! ~ Victoria

Safe and happy journey for you all! I loved the robber mice and their bags. Burt may well find himself out-matched by the Ladies of Cheese.
We who are in Seattle area salute our soon-to-be-again neighbors and the upcoming presence of BCN hereabouts.
(it’s in the lower 90s today…)
Safe and happy trip to all seven of you!! I suspect three will be somewhat out of sorts though. But they are good boys who deserve treats.
Elvis not to happy with a leash but I bet Lupin has a blast tugging on it.
Have a safe trip
Safe trip to you and your family, Georgia! I hope the move goes smoothly and with minimal stress. I’m sure the cats will be a little upset about the move, but that’s the way cats are. Looking forward to seeing the new digs for BCN! ๐
Safe travels! Loving Elvis being catnapped!
I wonder if Puck borrowed a Hawaiian shirt from Tommy.
Is Elvis put on a leash in the last panel..oh poor thing,he won’t like that!
Safe travels to Seattle! Tomorrow, I get my first scooter so I will enjoy the open road.
“When the cats are away, the mice will play…”
Aww the boys and the people are on a Toad Rip! (No toads will actually be harmed …if they stay off the interstate…)
Safe travels, happy trails, may the end of your road be even nicer than the Big Pink House, and good luck with the newspaper launch.
I hope you have a safe, fast trip to Seattle.
I hope your move is safe and completely boring–or if you must have excitement, not much, not for long, & not significant!
Lupin and Puck make great breaking cats!
Safe move.
Nice to see Beatrix give Elvis an admonitory whack. I’m suffering from serious withdrawal. I need reruns now. Otherwise I may be forced into antisocial behavior.
I hope you all have a good trip. I really do…but I miss you.
Woo hoo! Looks like as of today GoComics is starting to run the archives. The very first ever BCN is up today!
And today GoComics starts with the 12 March 2014 strip–the first one out. Breaking Cat News about things breaking.
Yeah! It’s fun to read the old scripts.
Hello, hope all well and everyone settling in.
Really enjoying reminiscing over the early, before burt (BB) strips – and the commentary on go comics.
Maybe I should go cruise around Bellevue to see if I can find Elvis glaring at me.
Sigh… Missing the Breaking Cat News.
Hope all is well with the move and that the boys are settling in.
Ahoy! If you are not on Twitter, point your web browser at:
https://twitter.com/breakingcatnews/status/777907472757432324
NickiB: see the Twitter link atop this page. The BCN twitter finally updated 9/16; also, search “Georgia Dunn” inside Twitter for more news. I just google “Instagram breaking cat news” to see the photos. Both Twitter and Instagram invite me to open an account, I’m ignoring them.
Thanks, Ruth! I will have to give it a look then. I thought I had to have an account to be able to see content on either of those sites. Have a good week!
So, it’s been a month now. How long does it take to move to Seattle?
Far less time than it takes to get into newspapers–and if that doesn’t happen, Georgia will have to get a “real job”.
Wish I had real money–I’d hire her to do BCN.
Miss this so much. Hurry back guys! It’s nearly Black Cat season!
@ Mea: That’d be Puck season.
For anyone missing BCN, check out this little video, which will hopefully keep you going a little longer: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dVEuiQK553w&feature=youtu.be
Georgia – Hoping you will hurry back!
Just post already!=^~^= =^~^= =^~^=
Sure miss my weekly does of BCN antics. hurry back soon!
I love my morning cat news!
Is there a date when the comic will come back or has it faded away into creator apathy? I miss the BCN gang.
Hi! When the comic launches into papers sometime this winter or spring, that’s when there will be new strips. I don’t have a specific date yet, but when I do I will share it.
I’m starting to think that there is an exclusivity arrangement and that there will be no new BCNs until they start running in the newspapers.
That’s understandable. It eases my worry (Trevor and I are a bit alike).
Missing the new ones, but lovin’ the old.
Martha, this comment filled my heart right up. Thank you so, so much.
Looks like it’s now updating on GoComics
http://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news
Great, this place died just like vgcats
Elvis, I miss mew!
Are you at least allowed add an occasional “post card” to Baba Mouse’s wall?
@Duke Nukem
Read the posts above. Nothing has died. Georgia is preparing strips for print syndication to start sometime after the first of the year. They will run here as well. Meanwhile, we get the classics on GoComics. Be patient.
Does anyone know how Georgia and the Man and kids are doing now?
I still love BCN!
OMC IT HAS BEEN SO LONG I NEED MOREEEEE!!!!!!!!!๐
Missing kitties and robber mice and everyone … practising patience – which I’m not good at
Hear hear, Martha!
When will they come back?
Wow, I had no idea you’d gotten a SYNDICATION deal! Congratulations! That’s the big time for a strip!
I hope you start up soon, I miss your comic!
My kitties Nano and Quantum and I miss the BCN gang. I hope you are back in the new year.
Great voting comics on the twitter site!
Yes, folks, they are great and SAFE voting comics!
The “Elvis Got Out!” arc showing now on GoComics is one of my favorites. Gotta just love Tommy. (big ol’ fuzzball)
@foxygamer9 Georgia told us in one of her comments above: “Hi! When the comic launches into papers sometime this winter or spring, thatโs when there will be new strips. I donโt have a specific date yet, but when I do I will share it.”
I just keep coming here and hitting ‘random’ to get my fix. sigh
Thank you, Michelle!
Breaking Cat News(print)…
WOOOHOOO!
Thank you!!
That is AWESOME news!
Thank you!!
WOOOOT!!!!!!!
Time for me to email several editor-types at the Seattle Times!
I have an advantage over most BCN readers: Georgia now lives here, so the ST is her ‘home’ newspaper. They *must* have BCN!!!!!
This is such wonderful news! I’m so glad you shared it with us!
Thank you, Jessie!
Ahhhhh!!!!
YAY!
Consider your request granted!
Early congrats ๐บ๐ธ
Thank you, Nicki!
Consider it done Georgia! I can’t wait to read Breaking Cat News in my local newspaper!
Thank you, Lori!
Kim, reading this makes me so happy. Thank you so much!
So happy for you! I’ll look into how to contact my local paper. If anyone deserves to make it, you do.
Thank you, Allie!
Georgia, that is fantastic news. I will be sending an email to my hometown paper, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, and where I work in DC, the Washington Post.
Congratulations again. You and your family deserve the best
Thank you so much, Lorraine!!
Awesome!!!
You go, girl!!!
Thank you, Carrie!
Oh my cat! Georgia, this is super exciting news – congratulations!
Thank you, Bob!
OMC!!! OMC!!!!
Thank you so much for saying so, Alison! Working on it has been a great comfort to me these recent days of watching the turmoil happening.
SO excited!!!!! Really been missing the boys & co! Congratulations! About to buy yet a another book. Tis the season to spread the joy & addiction!
